Yes. That is a reasonable assumption based on nothing.

 Bartoli is a poor winner. She had an incredibly comfortable run through, she lacks grace and class and it's a big shame to see her win a major event. Grrr.

What a real shame. Very lucky winner.

I don't think so. You want shock after shock - you get someone like Bartoli sneak through without ever having to play anyone ranked above 17th. Lisicki has played top players constantly and she is, clearly, emotionally and probably physically, done. Massive shame, but she has been a massive...

Why is Lisicki playing so badly against the porker? She should be playing drop shot after drop shot and watch the Frenchwoman struggle. Bartoli's run through has been so comfortable, it will be a massive shame if Lisicki can't have a word with herself and come back. Bartoli 6-1 Lisicki...

And then you add the fact it is an Pole match and they'll both be determined to win it. Should be fantastic. Del Potro closes it out, and rightly so. Ferrer was dire. Whether his knee will cope against Djokovic is questionable though.

You can follow it all through, the draw is split in two halves and you can work out who will play who. Obviously, this year it went tits up with Nadal and Federer both losing in Murray's half.

I don't rate Janowicz, his game is error prone and he is constantly offering up a free point or two. I'd love to see Kubot win that quater - just for the laughs.

In this case, you do. Del Potro has won a slam, Ferrer is just lucky he has had so many injuries otherwise a player of his limited talent would never have been fortunate enough to smuggle his way into the top 5.

On the contrary, he knows before it has even started. He is losing to Del Potro on one leg, his performance against Nadal in the French Open final was cowardly at best and his record this year of one win against a top 10 player speaks volumes. He knows his standard block and run tactics simply...

Thanks for that. I assumed it was random numbers being assigned for a laugh. The event ranking points are weighted correctly on my opinion. I have nothing against Ferrer for his work rate, but as you say, simply playing more events has inflated his ranking. His performance in the French Open...

Also, why do the BBC insist on swapping the matches every few minutes? One is on BBC1, the other is on BBC2. Simple as that. Everyone knows where they stand - stop chopping back and forth! Ridiculous programming.

David Ferrer is atrocious. I hate his "style". Really poor player, but from monday he will be world number 3. By default. Federer dropping to #5. Ridiculous.

Tsvetana 4-3 up with a break - this could be her year with everyone dropping out! I call her to win it every year, not backed it this time... Classic. It angers me how many empty seats there are on Court 2. I would love to be there whispering sweet nothings at her.

She is a DOUBLE break up at 3-0. :clap2: Pironkova is a top 10 grass court player. World number 72, because she is terrible on other surfaces, but on grass she is amazing. But the commentators are always AMAZED when she does well. She does incredibly well every year at Wimbledon. Do your...

The coverage today is a JOKE. Started with Gulbis vs Verdasco and then decided to jump to Monaco vs De Schepper, which is annoying but Sue announced we can watch Gulbis on the red button. This was a lie. It was the Monaco borefest, under the Gulbis title. Now, having reluctantly started...

Should have been in the pub I was in for the tie break! Hooting galore. What a win for Stakhovsky, what a day! Beware Benoit Paire... I think he could play Murray in the semi, but might be the quater. Dangerous player and he, like all the others, will be MASSIVELY energised by today...

As someone with seriously bad knees, I have massive sympathy for Nadal. I have always struggled with patella tendonitis, and there are days I can barely flex them. Other days it isn't so bad but generally speaking, you always feel it in anything you do. Get better soon Nadal.
