I certainly wouldn't characterise BJ as an idiot or moron. He's bright and popular. But diplomatic he has never been. Agree with you on the devious bit, and also that we'll have to wait and see.

It looks as though it'll be today, unless it's brought to the Tories attention that their own rules indicate that they can't just announce a coronation: it's apparently the 'duty' of the 1922 Committee to find another candidate to contest the election (see @JolyonMaugham for relevant tweet)...
