I'm not sure I trust anything Gus says about contracts, unless it's 'ees complicated'. When Inigo was talking to Southampton to see what they had to offer, Gus went into a complete huff and said he wouldn't play for us again. Worked though. :thumbsup:
You could argue that if we keep Glenn then you gain another half a striker, as Barnes plays so much better with him and they seem to get on really well.
Will be impossible to replace with a like-for-like player. And our record of recruiting strikers hasn't been great in recent years, so if we need THREE then this is a worry.
I think he will stay though. It's just money wrangling - exactly what you'd expect a seller and a buyer to do.
