It's the same for everyone though. The reality is that very few courses these days can contain these guys unless they are severely tricked up or the wind blows. The only Open course that is usually a severe test no matter what is Carnoustie. The course that should go is St Andrews, sadly, as...
Yup. Best and most exciting British player I have ever seen. Sounds like today was his dodgy round, up until the end. I fully expect him to win tomorrow by more than 6.
Been working today so not been watching - sounds like Rory gave them half a chance and is now in the process of taking that chance away from them again.
Well the Friday curse has struck Rory again - just a 66 to add to his first round 66. -12 and at least a 4 shot lead. An excellent round of golf, did not really look in any trouble at all. Not sure why we had to watch every one of Tiger's 77 shots when there were 50 odd people out on the course...
Well this is looking like a Rory masterclass so far. After a shaky start to his round, he is now back to ripping the stick out. -8 after 8 and 2 in the lead, the wind has died down and I will not be surprised if he shoots another score in the mid 60's. Great stuff.
Pretty uninspiring so far - some very poor attempts to play in the wind by the top players in the world. Tom's on the course now - perhaps he will show them how it is done.
Depends how he gets on in the wind. Forecast is for strong winds on Sunday apparently. Ricky Fowler can play in the wind.
If this ball tracking thing they have on the first tee is accurate, it is interesting to see how ball flights have changed over the years. All 3 just now, Scott, Rose and...
Quite a nice day here too.
Some very muted outfits so far - don't think much of Ricky Fowler's 'tache either, but at least he has cut his hair. He leads on -4
I quite like Peter Alliss actually - this is about the only chance every year to listen to him and whilst he is getting old, he does talk sense sometimes. The reason Tiger blocks it is that he loses height on his downswing - has been doing it for years now and not fixed it, so maybe he does need...
Could be. Needs to start putting though - should have birdied first 3 and only birdied one of them. It's friday he cocks up - he is -43 for first rounds in 2014 and +11 for second rounds! 4 times so far this year he has shot 64 or better on day 1.
Garcia going well so far -3 after 6. Tigger +2...
I'd love to have the chance!
I believe Mr Woods will miss the cut and, hopefully, he will start extremely badly and the BBC will go and cover someone else instead, but I suppose they have to keep our American cousins happy.
