    [Albion] Luton/Spurs/Sheff Utd away tickets

I would guess more of those ‘harvesting’ are doing it with the knock out stages in mind rather than Dublin.

Thanks. I totally get where you’re coming from, I think we just disagree on the breadth of cut off points between tiers (essentially only in the low allocation/high demand and desirability matches). As it stands, anyone in tier 2 who wants a ticket for a London away game (pretty desirable and...

Not deliberately, no. We had 24 away games in cup and league last season - I don’t think it’s far-fetched to suggest ‘only’ doing 14/15 would fail to put you in the top tier for Luton. I know people who did 11 and they weren’t close to the 381 threshold. Out of interest what did you make of...

Probably because the gap between tier 2 and 3 for Spurs was much narrower (46 points) than the gap between tier 1 and 2 for Luton (135 points).

But anyone who only attends 4/5 away games a season will very likely be in tier 2 for the 3k allocation games already - their semi-regular attendance gets them this status. What people are arguing is that it shouldn’t give that category of STH a space in tier 2 alongside STH who do 14/15 away...

Haven’t we just found they don’t really do this? They just open the initial allocation out to the first X amount of people with the most points. Then, it goes to the next 25%, then 50%, then any other STHs. This makes it seem arbitrary approach for all games rather than based on data/judgment...

But some people in tier 2 did miss out on the game against Ajax for the reasons being debated in this thread! It isn’t just about Luton away.

    [Albion] Luton/Spurs/Sheff Utd away tickets

No, because as has been pointed out - if you are a STH and you want to get a ticket to virtually any non-London game, you will get one. From there you build up your points. Go to Stoke, go to Sheffield United, go to Villa, go to Burnley etc.

Hard to say. I think it’s more of an issue with the high demand/lower allocation games - that’s when an arbitrary 25% just doesn’t sit right. As you say, games like Spurs don’t seem to cause an issue, though I suspect someone on 245 or 218 points might disagree! Perhaps it would make sense to...

Looking forward to this rumbling on when we find out our allocation in EL R16 is around the 2k mark! I’ve made my stance clear that I think the tiering should be more staggered to reward ‘loyalty’. It’s been established many times over that there is no closed shop. If you want to work your way...

If possible, I’d probably stagger it so it’s available to the next 200 or so highest points holders for a few hours and repeat that pattern until they’re sold. This isn’t me suggesting the best option for myself btw. In fact, it would probably guarantee I wouldn’t get a ticket.

So I ask the question - do you think the tiering for Luton tickets is the fairest it can be? Obviously there has to be a line somewhere, but the line should not be separated by 130 points. That’s outrageous! It’s also been established by many on here this season that there is no closed shop -...

Which is why the club need to amend the system.

But it should still be done. It’s ridiculous that someone on 247 points could get a ticket in front of someone on 380. That’s a huge difference in ‘loyalty’.

    [Albion] Luton/Spurs/Sheff Utd away tickets

Yes, but that doesn’t mean you can’t make it more fair, does it? Or do you seriously think the tier 2 bracket for Luton couldn’t be made more fair for those who have been more ‘loyal’?

As a point of comparison, this is how Villa stagger their tier system. Not saying it’s perfect but having more brackets of fans certainly seems more fair. https://www.avfc.co.uk/news/2023/october/06/AZ-Alkmaar-ticket-details/

@Bozza, did you get an explanation/justification of the club’s system or just a statement of this is how we do it?

    [Albion] Luton/Spurs/Sheff Utd away tickets

I said this when this issue came up with Ajax away tickets: “I’m coming at it more from the angle that it’s harsh on those who are on 264, as they are thrown in to compete with those on 221. That’s a pretty big gap. I know the line has to be drawn somewhere, but would it not be more fair to...
