I am no big business guru, but decency would suggest taking Chris aside and telling him rather than him finding out when he tried to get into the training ground imo. Surely he deserved a bit of respect and I say that as someone who was 100% behind a change of manager.

I did NOT hate Hughton! I loved what he did here, he got us to the promised land in style after a massive disappointment the previous season, but harsh reality is that he was not able to be braver in his style of play against better sides. The last few months and his tenure at Forest are proof...

You do have a point, but in fairness he had the worst group of players we had in the Championship and they could not have been more unsuited to how he wanted to play. He was also the dullest ever Albion manager. I did enjoy the game at Norwich though.

Hundreds and the last few months of CHball were the most depressing games I’ve ever seen and that includes the “war years” for me. Potter was a breath of fresh air and teeth sucking :shrug:

We played some fabulous football under CH in the Championship, the football we played in his last six months here was as bad as I've ever seen from a club who didn't get relegated from the PL. It was absolutely dire and he needed to go, in fact I stopped going by the end :smile:

He was the right man at the right time and although I was pissed off with the way he left, taking the coaching staff with him, you won't ever hear me suggest he didn't do a great job here. De Zerbi inherited a team who easily adapted to his methods, that would not have happened at most clubs...

Agreed, both changes of manager have been traumatic but pretty seamless.
