Seems pointless in signing a defensive midfielder if they can’t perform Moises’ role for us. We need someone like Lavia who is quick, strong, dynamic and good in the tackle. Not sure Lopez is that man.
Currently, Gilmour & Groß will surely start for us. Against Luton, that’ll be fine. Against...
If there is a similar clause, I don’t see us adding a measly £5m on to the bid we turned down from Arsenal. I don’t think it’s an outrageous statement to declare that Caicedo is better than Enzo Fernandez. The club would have noted this fee...
Chelsea have this habit of over paying. If Caicedo goes there, we’ll be well compensated.
However, the genius move by the club is to go after a Chelsea player, publicly and first. It makes it very difficult for Chelsea to enquire about Caicedo when we can now counter every time with this...
I think £60m is just about ok. We want the deal done asap and don’t want to make it hard for Mac. Like the White & Tross deals, we’ve made the player affordable for his desired club. That’s fine by me because it’s £50m profit for us and we have the likes of Gilmour, Joao Pedro and Dahoud to...
His is very interesting seeing as we have the ball most of the time so opportunities for Moises to tackle and intercept are very limited. We are second in the Premier League for possession.

Also - you won’t be needing that...
If we could get him cheap, I agree.
Leeds Utd paid £20m for him. I know he has had injuries but you have to call his time in the Premier League a failure. I’m not sure how well he protected his defence in all those Leeds Utd loses.
If Leeds are trying to make a profit or get their money back...
Clearly Caicedo’s agents are working overtime to get him out the club.
Their best chance is obviously creating a bidding war to tempt TB. Chelsea & Arsenal are givens but is there really a third team?
Hopefully we purchase his replacement soon to take the pressure off the recruitment team.
I thought the recent BBC podcast with Glenn Murray was utterly outstanding. To summarise his view of Zaha’s career in one word, I’d have to choose ‘wasted’.
Absolutely no protection from the ref which was annoying, especially when Cash cleaned him out but the ref decided he didn’t want Villa down to 10 men.
The problem is simple though. The next Moises Caicedos we sign need to see us selling our best talent. They know it creates a space in the squad and they know they’ll get the same opportunities if they join us and a big fish comes along.
This is the reason why we’re going to be signing some...
Indeed. I don’t envy the recruitment team here. We have no one in the squad with his skill set currently, it’ll be incredibly difficult to find a player even 80% as good as Caicedo to replace him with. But - I trust the system so we’ll see.
