I am not making any point at all about who is to blame, but please don't give up. Can you not come by car from Saltdean and park at the Racecourse? I appreciate that there might be reasons of which I am unaware, but if I can take the car from Hastings, please all those nearer do the same, as we...
Such as? Who are these posters? I assume that you have not taken the time to read what I post - I would not defend a company that provides such a woeful service; why should I? But neither do I wish to say that the rail unions are necessarily any better. I presume that you have seen throughout...
No need for a strop! But at least you have cleared up the mystery so thanks for that - he is none of these things so when he comes on here sagely telling everyone about the railways, it is total unadulterated rubbish. At least we now know.
Don't give me that innocent lark. Said poster comes on to this thread at every opportunity wanting to tell us how it is, or rather how he sees it. He was quite explicit about drivers' conditions, and this has totally backfired on him, as he let the cat out of the bag as to how well they are...
From the horse's mouth. A fascinating insight into how well they are doing - and using their muscle again. I would think millions of folk would love to be in a position whereby 40% tax kicks in. So privatisation meant that they did really well, and yet you knock it! And it was not so long ago...
How on earth do you prove it? What a silly question to even ask. And for RMT it probably is just as well that a phone call saying you are sick, cannot be accepted as proof of actual sickness, as the guards may well not come out of it too well, unless you are naïve enough to think that just by...
Depressing - I can see you are really looking forward to it. Who are their supporters, by the way, with their war chests? And who would want to "break" such constructive, forward-thinking organisations such as these two who contribute so much to the nation's transport.
Thanks for the reply. I have said repeatedly that I am a layman on this and am happy to listen to what others say, IF they know what they are talking about. You must admit that there has been much bluster on here about the company, which, when you are repeatedly being messed about, is quite...
Thanks for that -he was probably too quick to get his response in, as ever, without properly reading it. Talking of reading what you wrote, and I am being very polite -would you like to re-read your own post? . . .
Genuine question -in what way was it "ill-considered"? Yes, it does seem odd that in public, at least, that the government has not been involved but we don't really know if that is true. They don't tend to get involved with industrial disputes, but this has been going on for so long.

I might have taken this seriously, had you not decided in the earlier post to bring in the bias about Tory defending. So you cannot talk about the fact that you have not politicised the mess. I do not doubt that the service is dreadful, and you have my sympathy, rest assured. I see that...
