What to do now, though? Stick with the same - really good - word even though it's come up (a tactic I know the Wordle master @Bakero uses) or switch it up?
Got a two instead of a three this morning purely because the word I was going to go with was a previous answer
Hope you have a better Wordle day today!
Ah soz. I was in A&E when I replied, so mind not completely on the job and didn't actually see the posts after GB's one. Still, on the plus side, I actually remembered something correctly
Actually, I seem to recall Victoria Coren Mitchell mentioning a while back how someone had been inspired by (copied) the show/format. Not sure if it was this, though.
Does anyone play Connections, also from the NYT website? Bobkin Jnr made me aware of it and I love it. Sixteen words, four groups of four and four lives to piece it all together. Aced it this morning with zero mistakes (but a bit of luck). The Americanisms catch me out sometimes, but it's a good...
There must be some clever dick somewhere who can take all of the words used as answers, find the most used letters and come up with a word using those letters that hasn't yet be an answer. But that clever dick DEFIANTLY isn't me :dunce:
Thanks for posting that, Icy. I wondering yesterday whether such a list existed. Interesting/annoying that my starter word that I've been using for ages (and that of @Bakero I assume, as that's where I got it from) is on there  Although it's still useful in often getting decent scores.
