Veey, very, very, very small until this recent of obsession with away shirts - used to be just if there was a colour clash.......... but hey - we must sign into the revenue stream by logging in to buy an over-priced shirt, eh?
Not my shirt!
Good! Let's go into Europe in our wonderful blue and white stripes then, not some irrelevant pretty (is it, really? - looks pretty shit to me) shirt that's just another revenue stream, nowt to do with Brighton and Hove Albion, our history, our ethos, and our very being.
Albion in Europe is...
How about blue and red stripes them? Or white shirts with a blue and red sash across them? Or just white and a faintly pathetic bluish colour that ain't The Albion? £90 a pop, mugs? - sorry, anyone.
Tiny indeed - tiny compared to the price of selling out our identity of blue and white stripes. Still, for all those that don't mind that, I'm siure the blatant commercial oopportunity nothing-to-do-with-The-Albion shirt is a must.
Sorry - I really hope we OWN this Europa League thing - but...
Tantrum? Bollocks! - I'm relaxed and happy that I haven't been - and won't be - stung £70 (plus extra for badges and letters) for a shirt I don't want. Life is good.
:)
I deliberately said 'most', not 'all', for a very good reason. It was accurate and correct - even overall for the 1970s. Hated the second-hand Chelsea strip we had in the first division too.
I'm not bothered about what Brighton United (not us!) played in, and I'm not bothered about away shirts...
Bollocks. We've played in blue and white stripes most of our existance, cerainly in my lifetime (except for the current nonsense about changing shirts for away matches even when thhere is no colour clash).
Proud that my team are now going into Europe - but want them to thake the blue and white...
