    Another one on the telly box last night, Britain in bloom. Presenter asked a schoolchild if they were creatative. Obviously wasn't happy using the normal creative.

    It isn't. The ate is unnecessary. Orient means the same.

    Orientate is another term for orient, hence the unnecessary ...ate.
