That ballpark is an absolute BEARPIT. The Twins got mullered there earlier this season, and the atmosphere was incredible. They roared EVERY strike, EVERY little thing that went their way.
I thought Canadians were supposed to be placid !
PHENOMENAL entertainment
Bautista smashes a 3-run homer, then appeals to the crowd to quit throwing stuff, the catcher thinks he's milking that homer and squares up, the dugouts all rush out :lolol:
Its chilli-con-CARNAGE out there. Bloody marvellous
Went to bed when it was 1-1, had a feeling in me water I'd be waking up to bad news. Ahh well, still looking forward to the next couple of games on TV, I'll include them in my acca.
Ahhh...bummer. Bloody TURKS.
Well you can't actually go full screen on it anyway, at least I've not found a way, so its only about less than a quarter size window, which can cause a bit of SQUINTAGE. But it has the proper US commentary on it, so I nearly always have it on if I'm up while...
I'm trying hard not to get carried away here...and you're NOT helping
Yup, as we well know, a kick in the teeth is never more than a badly timed errant pitch away, and in all probability they will fall just a little short this season. But regardless, its made for great viewing all year...
Absolutely !
Whatever happens this weekend, if they just miss out then its still been a brilliant season and such a dramatic turnaround. As you say, the youth players have all done great, and it bodes really well for 2016. I neglected to mention the emergence of Tyler Duffy on the mound, who's...
I got evens on 71.5 wins. They finished rock bottom 70-92 last year, so they really didn't need a DRAMATIC improvement, and once they binned off Gardenhire, and brought in Molitor, I was pretty confident they'd kick on and start moving in the right direction - although I certainly didn't expect...
Yeah, really could've done with the Royals being in party mode already, but it should make for a cracking series. We're 7-9 vs the Royals this season so not too shabby. Santana is pitching, he's 4-0 in his last 6 starts with a 1.47 ERA, and has lasted at least 7 innings in that run, so I think...
Twins closed in last night to being just 1 game back from the Angels and the Astros for that final wildcard slot. All or nothing then on a 3 game home stand vs the Royals this weekend, and they're ALL shown live on MLB.com.
That's my next 3 evenings snorted.
The Minnesota Twins are grimly hanging on to the coat-tails of the Astros for a wildcard spot, still just 1.5 games back despite having lost their last 3.
They're now in a CRUCIAL series with the Angels, who themselves are just a game back from the Twins now after beating them 11-8 last night...
Tonight was like a slow death. Had the chances but just didn't drive in the runs tonight, 1-for-5 with RISP, just that sole Rosario slam scoring. So frustrating, it was a chance to get within half a game of the Rangers as they're not playing tonight. Tough road trips now to the Astros and the...
Plouffe got another couple of RBI's last night to make 73 for the season, he's having a great duel with Dozier (68 RBI's) on that front. Both hitting .244 which is good but not great. Other than Sano, none of the Twins are hitting anywhere near .300 this season, but as a collective they're still...
...with the Twins in hot pursuit of a wildcard as well.
I'm dashing back from work today as they're the free game on MLB.com vs the White Sox at 6.10. After a post-All Stars wobble they've really picked up again and are 8-2 in their last 10, just 1 game back from the Texas Rangers for that 2nd...
A gruesome 14-1 BEASTING for the Twins last night at the A's (most of which I watched on the Bet365 live stream, and wished I hadn't). Milone had a complete 'mare on his return to the Collosseum. The Twins are now 6 games back from the Royals, but still currently hanging on to a Wildcard. Its...
Well, I hoipe this isn't the MIDDLE of the slide ! But yup, after a storming May, the wheels have come off big time for the Twins this month. They've had a bit of bad luck, but the offense just is not firing like it was. Kyle Gibson is pitching on Tuesday (4-4, 3.24) he's not been too shabby...
My bet for them to get 71.5 wins ? At the current rate they're on course for about 98, so I think I'll sit on it for now
They've earned me a few quid already this season, I often include them in my soccerball accas if I'm watching them that evening. They've brought home the bacon...
