Who’s living in my head? In my adult life, I’ve never wanted something to happen or not happen based on being worried about what other people might think. Let people think what they want. But if I took what seemed like your anxiety too seriously, fair enough. I maybe overestimated your worry.
I repeat… fook 'em. I don’t give the faintest shit, or faintest whiff of shit, what they obsess over. The idea that some people are hoping we don't get drawn against a very beatable team because those nasty bullies at Palace will make beastly jokes, is utterly embarrassing. Get a grip. Don’t let...
Fook 'em. Grow a pair. Let them dine out on Brighton getting through the quarter finals of a major European competition. Would happily see them try to find the humour in that.
We need Marseille to go out against Shakhtar. Doubly good news. Hamburg should be relatively easy to get a ticket for + the RDZ connection + it’s a party city. My preferences are still Benfica and Milan. I hear what people are saying about Baku but a mad scramble for flights isn’t what I want.
Similar restaurant experiences (without the vodka) in rural China back in the early 90s. Invited into kitchen, picked stuff out of cupboards and fridge. 20 minutes later, something delicious would turn up at the table.
Great city but small stadium. 19,000. Will be very hard to get a ticket for most fans.
Tons of culture. Stunning cathedral and art galleries. Da Vinci's Last Supper mural etc. Main station is glorious. But also has plenty of poverty and a few no-go areas. As with all sets of football fans, the...
I get the joke. I got the joke the first time, the second time….the 500th time. I'm greatly looking forward to the merriment on the 1000th reference.
Why else would I have taken this snap when watching Swiss TV during lockdown?
All this Young Boys hilarity is making me nostalgic for those far-off days in the 4th form. Not sure how my sides can possibly stay intact over the next couple of months.
No, we've done the south of France. And Netherlands, so no to Toulouse, Lens, Rennes, Feyernoord. Let's go somewhere new! Italy, Germany or Portugal please.
Freiburg is a fab medieval city in the Black Forest, full of students and lovely fans. Marvellous cathedral and the best Currywurst I’ve ever had. Small stadium though, and new. The old stadium was one of my favourites.
Convenient, yes, but as we’ve had Marseille it would be good to have another country.
Oh yes! And I bet they’d get even more hilarious each time we read them! Bring it on!! Er…
I’d prefer the poll to allow us to choose, say, 3 options as there are so many tempting ones.
For me, as a Tier 2 STH, it would have to be a big away ground eg San Siro, Hamburg (Shakhtar), Roma, Benfica. But for personal, sentimental reasons I’d love SC Freiburg where I was once a ST holder...
