It's great that so many NSCers are going to Earls Court.
I'm quite sorry that I'll be in the seats and not able to share a beer and a chat about our recent play-off triumph down on the floor!
Just used my pre-sale code to get two seats reasonably close to the stage - Block 28 Row B.
I don't think there should be too much trouble getting tickets on general release if you are reasonably quick - and I reckon other arena dates will be added anyway.
I will be seriously pissed off if that's the only date and I don't get tickets - surely they will add some regional arena shows as they have on previous tours.
That's a very funny post. You'll find over time that Reflektor is the latest in a succession of songs that every bit up to that standard - its an evolution.
They haven't just gained the endorsement of the Thin White Duke - he was on to them well before the rest of us were.....
Do you mean Funeral or Reflektor? Either way you need to give it a few listens.
When I first heard Funeral I ocsillated between thinking it was rough and amatuer or unbelieveably good. After a short while it got under my skin and the rest is history. its always a pleasure to go back to it...
At the beginning! Funeral was their first album and it's raw freshness makes it a very different listen to the latest album, Reflektor.
All four of their albums are great but appreciate the evolution of their sound if you start with Funeral.
Are they well known enough? They've played the sun-down slot before and perhaps headlined the Other Stage but it may cause a bit of debate if they are given a Pyramid Stage headlining slot. That said, they would do it brilliantly.
Fantastic album from a fantastic band. I'll never forget the 1st time I heard anything by them - U2 used Wake Up from Funeral as their curtain music for their 2006 stadium shows - as soon as it came on it sounded like something I recognised from way back - but also the newest and most exciting...
I'm loving it more with every listen.
I can't wait to get hold of the new album or to see them play live again. Haven't been this excited about new music for quite some time!
