Re: Closure of NSC ticket exchange

As I said in my earlier post, the Club will have names, addreses and fan details of those who are prepared to break the law and can revoke the season tickets ( i.e. deactivate the Smartcard ) of any third party involved in helping someone breach a ban. As a season ticket holder I don't want to...

Re: Closure of NSC ticket exchange

If you have a football banning order you'll be asked to report to a Police Station at certain times, those times will be such that you cannot conceivably be at the Stadium and the Police Station simultaneously. But I accept that there are ways and means of working around that. The point is that...

Re: Closure of NSC ticket exchange

And it doesn't stop individuals Swapping tickets, all that is now happening is that the tickets are being exchanged legit, with the Club knowing the names and addresses of exactly who is on the recipient side of the transaction. Under Bozza's scheme, people who are banned from attending...

Re: Closure of NSC ticket exchange

And that means the authorities will allow NSC to flout the law? It just doesn't work that way. If the law says no transfer/reselling of tickets except via the club, then anyone who does it is open to the consequences, you, me Bozza, Ticketmaster, some bloke on e-bay or a tout hanging around...

Re: Closure of NSC ticket exchange

At some point it will be possible to clone Smartcards, and when that happens I'd be extremely careful about who I gave mine to. Once cloned, I could potentially lose access to the ground completely, and only be aware of it when the turnstile fails to open.

Re: Closure of NSC ticket exchange

Yes, but from the clubs point of view a ST exchange scheme is an overhead that has to be paid for, it's not something that can operate at zero cost because someone has to be answering phone calls and updating the ticket database, someone who would normally be employed selling full priced...

Re: Closure of NSC ticket exchange

That's a bit presumptious, we all make decisions in life about what we can and can't afford, some of us choose to prioritise going to the football while others might want to spend that money somewhere else. I don't purchase programmes at all, nor do I spend shedloads of money in the Club Shop...

Re: Closure of NSC ticket exchange

If the club continue up the League structure then I expect there to be more sell outs, and more demand for tickets, not just from home, but also away supporters. It's possible, through the NSC exchange, for an Away supporter to get a ticket for a home section (through any number of transactions...

Re: Closure of NSC ticket exchange

The problem is essentially that the club does not want ticket touts getting hold of tickets for games that have the potential to sell-out. I can understand why they want to stop any avenue that this can occur, the problem is that NSC isn't just about STH's offering their Smartcard to a friend...
