I’d like the simpler, better known songs for home games, for the reasons you state but a wider range away.
Atmosphere isn’t just singing though. Getting in the ref’s ear, putting off away players could all be better. We’re too nice.
This. And today the WSU started the West Stand / North Stand sing and were ignored by the North.
Let’s face it, the real story is there are too many egos in the two singing groups to ever join in with each other, let alone another stand’s song, lots of pensioners on cheap tickets and too many...
We’re in a group of 7. Not only would everyone have to agree but we’d have to find 7 Werthers suckers sat near each other in the north to replace. And most of my other mates are in WSU too.
Atmosphere is just fine where we are anyway but I can’t imagine someone starting a song in WSU and be...
I could pick half a dozen posts to quote but I’ll just say this instead. In every football club in the top four divisions I can think of the home “end” leads the singing and everyone else round the sides joins in. Sound won’t project from the back of the WSU back to an end, it has to start there...
You get the ‘end’, the cheap tickets, the chance to call yourselves things like “NSK”, more bars and the legacy of the Goldstone north. You lead, we follow. That’s the deal.
