The problem was he wasn’t quick enough closing things down in the first place. In that particular respect, far from being a dictator, he was too libertarian.
I get what you’re saying. No room for shades of grey. If you’re not with us you’re against us. Some people don’t seem to think that others have the ability to think for themselves.
Many years ago in an exchange with a particularly narrow Tory local councillor I was branded and dismissed as a...
Does it show that I think that Boris and his cabinet of bumbling yes-men (and women) have not dealt with the current situation very well.
The subsequent post(s) were merely to answer the point about people's political leanings influencing their judgement of a Prime Minister. The apportioning...
Points taken, but:dishing out blame was not the aim of my post. It was about how political leanings dictate (or don't dictate) how PMs do. So I was trying to illustrate how I thought other recent conservative P.M.s would have dealt with the current crisis.

But they would probably be more "careful".
My own perception of his attitude towards women would be that it seems irresponsible, which is not what I would want or expect from a Prime Minister, or a senior politician of any sort.
Does in not just show that the whole country is not as much in love with the Boris roadshow as some misguided people think we ought to be.
I don't wish him, the boy or the mother any harm, but neither will I be trumpeting it from the rooftops. Plenty of other people will become parents today as...
