Fair enough although it seems that confirms we are both right, ie all four roofs are interconnected. The fact remains the club, despite all the planning restrictions, will not spend tens of millions just to put 800 seats in.

At the moment, clubs can easily identify trouble and trace them back to whom the seat was sold. Take that away and then it is easy for the dregs to hide in the crowd. There are increasing number of cases of racism, homophobia etc and you aren't going to get clubs to agree to making it harder...

But you're talking about old fashioned terracing. Safe standing gives you an allocated spot. As I understand it, you can't just wander around to where you would rather be. With seating, unless it is clearly never going to sell out, you will always get an allocated seat. You still get...

Unreserved seating when you sell out most weeks, how's that going to work then? I suspect most of those that want to get the atmosphere going will be filling their boots right up to kick off so how are they going to feel turning up to find the rest of the north stand scattered across the seats...

Nobodies stopping you. Others chose what they do. Back at the Goldstone the majority didn't join in every song, just those in the middle of the north stand. If everyone that didn't sing at the Goldstone chose to stay at home the place would have been empty!!

Rubbish. I used to go in the old north stand for the last few seasons at the Goldstone but our group used to stand to the side and the majority there were not joining in all of the songs. If you were nearer the middle then you might have got a false impression of how many were actually...

Can't believe this thread! If we are winning then people sing, that's why the atmosphere was banging in the championship. Not so successful in the prem.
