Not sure why you have picked on 500 miles. How many people drive regularly say from Brighton to Glasgow without stopping for a half hour break. For the vast vast vast majority of people 300 miles is ample. So long as you can get a quick charge either part way or at your destination super long...

Well let's not bother then. We are all doomed. Doomed I say I remember a time when there were only Ever Ready batteries. Now we have Duracell. Technology moves on apace. :)
