Muzza and Lambert were always better footballers and all round forwards than CMS. CMS benefitted in League One from the gung-ho end to end football of Ferguson, and flopped in his two Championship spells for different clubs.

I’d love the Albion to close this deal. Maupay seems to have everything required of an outstanding striker - genuinely 2 footed, pace, headed goals, poacher, longer range strikes.

We forget the PL results over the 2 seasons where Dunk, Duffy and Stephens were an immense unit, shutting out illustrious opponents. Kept us up, twice. Our problems were a lack of pace, creativity and ball retention in ACM, out wide and up front.
