I don't believe so. Not how they can penalise a company if the company says they have no record of who was driving. I guess they could take the company to court (not sure for what), but they would be unable to allocate points to an unknown driver.
The average speed cameras in place on the M25 Godstone to Sevenoaks in preparation for turning the hard shoulder into a 4th lane do have floodlights in position next to them. Odd then that those on Handcross Hill do not and people have got tickets for speeding there at night?? Maybe infrared as...
The services at Jeremys Corner are on the northbound A23. There is a camera as you get back onto the A23. And the exit to Warninglid is closed until March. Apart from that you're 100% correct!!
A few years back I got a ticket for speeding in London (flashed by a camera). I responded saying it was a company car (which it was) and that we did not keep a record of who was driving it. They wrote back and said we had to keep records. I replied "well, we don't". Never heard any more.
Thanks for the warning!
What I have always wanted to do, and probably will when I'm old and decrepid and don't care any more, is to have a flip switch so that I can change my licence plates to fake ones whenever going through speed cameras.
Do they work at night? They don't appear to have floodlights near the cameras to illuminate number plates in the dark as they did on the M25.
And 600+ speeding convictions along that stretch in a week?? I think they're fibbing.
