    [Football] Union Saint-Gilloise

Delighted for USG, so well deserved after being mugged in the playoffs more than once in the past few years.

What a brilliant second half - never saw that coming in a million years at half time. Delighted for Gomez at the end you can tell how much it meant to him.

Blinding save from Verbruggen- keeps us in it

It’s so disappointing that Welbeck and Estupinan couldn’t stay fit for one last game. Would bite your hand off for a point.

    No Estupinan or Lamptey either?

[Albion] Mercurial, majestic, magnificent Mitoma [20/10/23: New deal signed]

I haven’t seen any reporting that says it’ll be as much as 58m. The most I’ve seen reported is 55m and that likely needs Liverpool to win the Champions League. Then you have Bissouma’s legal situation hanging over him at the time, compared with Mac Allister who had just played a major part in...

[Albion] Mercurial, majestic, magnificent Mitoma [20/10/23: New deal signed]

Hang on, you can’t use non-add ons figure for Bissouma and then use the add on figures for Mac Allister…

[Albion] Mercurial, majestic, magnificent Mitoma [20/10/23: New deal signed]

I really don’t think he would have. We had a 1 year option on the original deal so he still would have had a year left. We got a similar figure for Bissouma in the same situation.

[Albion] Mercurial, majestic, magnificent Mitoma [20/10/23: New deal signed]

I think the MacAllister deal backfired on us, as the agreement was done before the World Cup. I don’t think anyone predicted him to do so well on the global stage that his value at least doubled. When the Liverpool transfer went through, it looked more like Liverpool had had our pants down...

[Albion] New fan zone - "The Terrace" [Opening 29/03/25 currently]

Our record with beambacks is pretty terrible, right? Probably best they don’t do one for Sunday then

Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face. Success is all relative. Qualifying for the Conference league would be a bigger deal for us than winning it would be for Chelsea.

In that case I expect he’ll still be playing for us next season then.

    [Albion] Joao Pedro Brazilian Maestro

He still has 3 years left on his contract, so we really don't need to let him go 'cheaply'. I've said it before, we spent £40m on Rutter, it really wouldn't make sense for us to sell Pedro for only £60m. If we don't receive an acceptable offer I imagine he'll be keen to kiss-and-make-up, as...

That’s probably knocked £10m off the fee we’ll get for Pedro in the summer

Absolutely brilliant result. Great going forward but defensively we looked like conceding every time they attacked. Gruda and Ayari the standouts for me. Estupinan’s game management at the end nearly gave me a hernia.

Henderson not getting sent off was incredibly lucky, it was a stonewall red card! Completely changed the course of the match.

[Albion] If we let a 300+ games player leave on a free to Real Madrid...

Oh Liverpool can only blame themselves with the situation, and completely agree they got very lucky to tie down VVD and Salah so late on.

[Albion] If we let a 300+ games player leave on a free to Real Madrid...

Alexander Arnold is entitled to do what he wants with his own career, but he does so knowing that leaving on a free to the richest club in the world will taint his Liverpool legacy with a chunk of their fans. Had he had 3 years on his contract, his transfer fee would likely have been close to...
