[Cricket] Sussex CCC - 2025 Division One Edition

The pitch is a disgrace. Looks like a day 6 pitch on day 1, puffs of dust, variable bounce and turn. Hants have looked at the number of left handers in the Sussex team and picked a used wicket so Dawson in particular can use the very worn areas outside the off stump. Throw the book at them.

The tracker has us needing 4 points from each of them this season! (We've got 9 already of course).

[Albion] Apparently 8th place "still gets Europe", if...

I have the added complication of being a huge Betis fan for the last 25 years, since a good friend moved out there and took me and my boys to a game. Been back a few times to watch them, they are a proper big time club, the people's club of the city unlike Sevilla. They've never been in a...

    [Albion] Seriously...

I live for that delicious, freeze-frame moment when we all (well those left in the East and West) wait to see where the ball will end up. Before exploding in limbs and joy and jubilation. F you Potter F you jellied eel munchers F you early leavers (I may have had a beverage since...

[Travel] Newcastle to Brighton direct train service

When I was at Warwick Uni in the early 80s, I used to get the direct train from Coventry to Brighton via the West London line, leaving about 8am Saturdays, give my mum a bag of washing when I arrived at Brighton, go for a couple of pints, watch the game, collect clean washing then go back via...

    [Albion] Buonanotte and Enciso

Given Pedro's upcoming absence and Rutter's injury, does it not make sense to attempt to get one of these back for the run-in, given that their teams have effectively been relegated? We need more attacking options. Despite recent performances and the general gloom on here, the reality is that...

Sutton enthusing about the 'well balanced' and 'in form' visitors gave me added confidence for their comeuppance.

    [Albion] Injuries 2024/25

Dunk appeared to be struggling with his hip again on Saturday. Looked likely that was compounding his poor performance and lack of pace.

[Albion] To Avoid Hürzeler Bashing - The Staying Up and Europe Tracker - season 2024-25 Game 38 Update

So despite last night we are still in pole position for an 8th place finish, which would likely be at least enough for the Conference. If Chelsea win this year's Conference and finish 6th (or 7th) then would this not free up an additional UEL spot?
