I'm sure you'll be miffed to learn that The Terrace is likely to reduce queues at the station by slowing down the post-game exodus. One less thing for you to whinge about!
Teams often struggle initially when moving stadia. Everton have an ordinary squad and whilst they have had a Moyes bounce, it wouldn't surprise me to see them struggle again next season.
In September 1981, Tony Grealish, Michael Robinson and Gerry Ryan all played for Ireland in a 2-2 draw in the Netherlands. Robinson scored. Mark Lawrenson also played, having left the club for Liverpool less than a month before. Future Albion manager Liam Brady captained the Republic.
The evidence suggests these are the key factors as the ST fan base is getting older on average (see PBOBE previous comms) and more discerning/entitled.
The other factor is an economic one, where the evidence is driven by the general state of the economy as well as this year's ST price hike.
It's a triple nutmeg goal from Lille! Fancy going there in the UCL next season: 50k ground with great atmosphere and only 1 stop from London on the train.
Thanks for sharing that. Mrs TC and I often cycle to games and double dlock our bikes to railings in a handy location (not the official racks). Hers is electric. Do you think they were able to plier through the cables or was it an angle grinder job?
Sorry for your loss. Did you have dlocks?
12X bus to Old Steine (10 mins). Change to 28 or 29 to Amex (20 mins). All included in your ticket.
After game, walk through Falmer Village to pick up the 28/29 at the stop before the Amex.
This is the risk.
Both Madrid and Marseille have been in serious flounce mode about staying in their Leagues, notionally due to biased referees (Madrid!), but surely as a precursor to another ESL initiative.
Whilst it's tempting to agree that City would be welcome to p*** off to the ESL...
I've always presumed this is why it's been inaccessible in recent times. See also: the downgrade of Dick's Bar and conversion to yet another corporate space.
RIP the Community Stadium 😔.
