It’s the end of the season so, from the clubs point of view, it’s probably the ideal time for it to have happened. I may be wrong but I think that they can’t now have a gambling company on the front, it’s only clubs with longer term deals that can do so? Therefore they are unlikely to receive as...
50% of the top 30 clubs paying the highest wages in Europe are from the Premier League. Any Premier League club entering one of the European competitions should be at least make a decent fist of it.
The Conference League is the equivalent of the Milk Cup in that you should enjoy the matches...
We went to see Cabaret at the KitKat Club in London, where they have gender neutral toilets. Or, they removed the old signs and put up new ones stating gender neutral.
Women who went into the previously mens toilets had to queue for the cubicals next to men pissing into the urinals. Lots of...
10 points.
Brentford (A): 1 point
West Ham (H) - 3 points
Newcastle (H) - 0 points
Wolves (A) - 3 points
Liverpool (H) - 0 points
Spurs (A) - 3 points
Could possibly be 13 points as Liverpool will have been crowned Champions by then. The form they are on, Newcastle is really the only...
£30 million plus £125k a week could be an absolute bargain. Another 12 goal plus season in the PL and he will be worth double that. No reason why teh club shouldn't be thinking about it. Better than spunking £160k a week on an unproven (in the PL) loan player.
Exactly. If people on here think Ferguson is worth £40 million (and a lot do, still) then Delap for the same would be an absolute bargain.
However, as others have said, do doubt other clubs will offer higher wages.
It was made possible due to the extra place and Man U and Spurs doing so poorly. However, five of the top seven will be in the CL next season. However European football is still very possible.
Were the names of the 9 owners who voted against closing the loophole ever published? I think we know one of them, and can guess a few, but it would be interesting to see.
There are some laugh out loud moments but not as many as I would have hoped for (or expected from the previews). I don't find Sara Pascoe very funny and DM Copper is an actress not a stand up, however I like most of the rest so this helps. 6.5/10.
I don't think any PL team is so broke that they have to sell more than one or two players (Chelsea and City aside but they are special (basket) cases). The idea of Brentford, B'fluff, Fulham or Palace losing their manager and half their squad is farcical. The loss of one or two of their best...
The PL is a closed shop now, the financial rules (which I thought were a good thing) have made it almost impossible for a promoted club to spend enough to catch up with anyone who has been in the PL for a few years.
Bad luck, injuries, players leaving etc will probably make a mid table team...
