I don't think it was the European way either but they (or some) seemed to evolve whereas we didn't. Possibly because we were more restricted due to all seater stadium and CCTV.
I watched Saturday's MOTD and there were two Brentford players showing imaginary yellow cards to the ref. I thought this was now a yellow card offense?
I think it was two written apologies, one at Palace and one at Spurs. There were others that people felt were wrong but they were not actual apologies.
Although we knew it could happen, it's such a shame that you can't attend a football match without the possibility of this sort of thing happening. Hope the OP makes it to the game and not too much was stolen from him.
However, I think that Chelsea can't have another bad season and (thankfully) I keep being wrong.
Theoretically you can't keep selling your best players and hope to get cheap replacements, but it does seem to be working.

On the radio, Gary Crowley and John Peel both played a lot of music I could relate to and Crowley was also decent live too. Peel may have been too but I never saw him.
I thought the reason why Potter isn't interested in taking on a new job is that he's still being paid so handsomely by Chelsea, which could end if he takes another job?
