Just last week, my wife suggested we go and see a film together at the Depot in Lewes..... it was an Italian thing, called Parthenope.
My god , it was awful.... we walked out after about 25 minutes, and we were not the first. Avoid. Pretentious arty shyte, filled with posers who flick their...
The way the last few weeks have gone, Im now convinced Sunderland will feckin' stay up next season.
Why?
Ok - Im a born and bred Geordie , aged 61. I have lived in Brighton/Hove since 1992, so started going along to the Goldstone Ground to watch a struggling new local team whilst also being a...
Mrs SlartiBF and I were up in yer Landan Town yesterday ..... walking along the embankment just south of Westminster, we walked past Toby Jones (The Detectorists and that Post Office thing). We slowed down to say something to him - something witty - but I couldn't think of anything suitable, and...
I started off just slightly wanting Man Utd to lose more than I wanted Spurs to lose, but then slowly as the game drifted towards its tedious end, started to get paranoid about Spurs waving a CL place and oodles of cash at the likes of Baleba or Mitoma.... somehow, I dont see Man Utd shopping at...
I thought he looked shaky throughout ... he's the only one last night who I thought was off par. Having said that, I wasnt sure how Bart let their second goal in, but apart from that, he made two good saves and was solid.
Pervis made me nervous.... hey .... that could be a song....
Bart, Oh...
Exactly !! Perhaps it's an age thing.... Liverpool have been the club I have disliked intensely way before any other... since the early 70s.... certainly by about 1977, when I realised that I wanted Borussia MGB to beat them in the final of the European cup , just to shut kids up in my school...
And yet - where it matters most, dead boring.
Title wrapped up with weeks to go.
All three promoted clubs relegated with weeks to go. Some teams havent won for 6 or 7 games, and yet are absolutely safe from relegation (Spurs/Man Utd) .
Final day drama this Sunday is purely about who finishes...
Can they both lose?
Frankly, I will only be watching to see the realisation on the losing team's faces that their season has just been utter shyte ..... (I will ignore the winners, the luckiest team on the planet frankly, from 16th/17th straight into the Champions League after not having won...
As a Geordie .... NEVER Sunderland! That would be the double whammy for me, after that thing that happened on Saturday that I dont talk about..... So it's Sheffield United DEFINITELY for me.
Which means the mackams are dead certs frankly :-(
Agree - surely weve all done this for the odd away game, and sat on our hands...... ? As long as they respect the "home end" rules, and just sit quietly , dont leap about celebrating their goals etc....
Mitoma ahead of Alexis Mac for me. In fact, Caicedo and potentially Baleba too..... Gross is up there . yes Mac Allister was world class, but he rarely got me out of my seat (Leicester game apart ), in the way that Mitoma can do.
I wondered that ...... sitting in my seat in the WSU, miles away, it looked like he flung himself to the floor, but I did think he must have had a touch to do that.
