Yeah it would require the games to be pretty quick after the season. For example if the league finished on the 11th, have play off round one on the 15th, round two on the 20th and the final on the 25th.
Third place team would essentially have the same length of break as they would in an...
I love the play offs, I think they're great but it is true that the third place team doesn't really get any advantage at all.
If they were to be changed this is the way I'd like to see it done.
The third place team goes straight to the final. Sixth plays away at fifth in a one of game, the...
Ah, good on Dwayne.
That would be a remarkable achievement for Hinshelwood. We'll have to campaign to get him more game time at full back. He can go back to midfield once hes got the record. So sometime in september...
Yeah, I do think of @dwayne every time I see something that suggests what a good/efficient/successful player Hinshelwood really is.
Sooner or later he'll have to admit that our Jack is not too bad.
What's amazing about that list is Hinshelwood's place on it. For someone who has only just turned 20 and has spent a significant chunk of his playing time at full back to be so high up with time to add another 3-5 goals to his tally before he turns 21 is remarkable.
Well done to Buonanotte...
Shame. He's got potential. 18 months in the u21s then a loan or two to a random mid table dutch or Austrian team and in a few years we'd have a player capable of challenging for the first team squad.
Oh well. Plenty more fish in the sea, he'll probably amount to nothing, Barca are terrible...
So would I. I like him but that's an insane amount for a player who couldn't get in our team and only has a year left on his contract.
I was thinking 25m would be a decent sale.
There are several threads on a similar theme. I'm going to answer this one because I think the questions allows you to answer it in a way that doesn't come across as overly critical or happy clappy.
Am I happy with the season? Happiness is an emotion. My overriding emotion with this season is...
Great second half.
We got the result we needed, can't control what happens in the other games. I didn't see that set of results coming, I really thought it was just Forest Chelsea that would be the one to throw a spanner in the works.
Hopefully that end to the season will carry over into next...
Historically play off winners struggle to stay up so it's fair to ask how Sunderland will do, particularly with how badly the promoted teams have done the last two years.
With the strength of the rest of the league I think the promoted teams will need to finish in the high 30s if they want to...
