What peturbed you about it?
It was a shame that the game was ruined by a red card for the underdogs five minutes in. It essentially gave Palace a gimme.
On this game, it seems your loins can be trusted. Certainly more than I can trust my arse!
Not sure how I feel about the that half.
I guess I'm happy that it's level. Newcastle looked comfortable with the lead - we really shot ourselves in the foot there. It was looking like an uphill task as we were pretty toothless and quite slow in our build up so to nab an equaliser from...
Bloody hell.
Don't see many tackles like that anymore.
Shame. Made an easy game even easier for palace.
As much as i dislike Mateta - and I do - I hope he's not seriously hurt. That tackle had shades of Schumacher...
No thank you.
The Fulham game is the following weekend so there's no need to rest anyone beyond those that the data say are at serious risk. Go as strong as possible. It's a tough enough tie as it is why make it harder?
In Tokyo January will be cold-ish but not too bad. There are plenty of colder places in the world. Most days will be sunny with clear blue skies - although obviously you'll get the odd overcast day. You'll be unlucky if you get much rain. You might get away with none if you're only here for...
It's been an excellent set of midweek results for us. 6 points separates 3rd from 10th.
This is like the Leicester season but on a grand scale for the non 'big six'. It's a golden opportunity for multiple of us to get European football. Brentford or even (disappointingly) Palace have an...
Like us, you've had a lot of injuries. Do you have the squad to cope? Can you keep going until the end of the season or will the lack of ability to rotate cost you?
I know it's one game at a time etc etc but if you're allowed to dream for a night or two, there's a fair chance that we're both...
Bournemouth, Fulham and Villa. Three teams in and around us, all at home and would mean 4 home wins on the bounce. That would be huge in terms of confidence and the atmosphere.
I'll take a draw against Newcastle followed by us scoring 5 penalties to their four. City I'll take the point...
The thee that standout to me have already been mentioned:
Liverpool in the F.A cup in 91. Blew my 10 year old mind to see the Albion go toe to toe with the mightiest team in the country. And we got Eubank parading his world title belt at half time as a bonus.
Leicester in the league cup, 94...
That's brilliant!
Maybe my new favourite pointless football stat.
Yes, I know but that doesn't have any baring on the point I was making.
The football league was a predominantly northern based league and with only one southern team being promoted from the third tier each season it was...
Isn't it more a reflection of:
1) The league originally being northern based
2) A lot of Southern clubs didn't join until 1920
3)Only two divisions until 1920 when divs 3 north and south were introduced
4)It was only one up one down from Div 3 south until 1959
5)It was only two up two down...
I think all that is fair enough.
If you'll excuse the cliche(but it is football so where would we be without a good cliche?) it's a game of opinions and as long as they're not too aggressively or offensively put across vive la difference.
Got to say that was a lovely result to get up to. Got to see the last 25 minutes and it looked very, very comfortable.
The last seven days has been a terrific reaction to the Forest game. Now to push on and get some more consistency in performances.
And Mitoma, my god, what a player.
I'm off to bed. I was going to say that I hope to wake up to another fine Albion victory but I've realised I'm up so early I'll be able to watch the second half while getting ready for work.
Hopefully that's a good thing!
I mean, that pushes me more into team FH.
Maresca is a prick. An arrogant bellend that's little more than a poundland pep. so if FH has pissed him off then I'm all for it. Go Fab!
I did consider some of these points before making my original post. I think the idea of it being transitional is closely tied to the level of performances this season and which side of the fence you sit on with regards to them.
So it's a little tricky to deal with it in isolation meaning...
