His main concern was that his oxygen might run out because of the worsening smoke. I don't think the guy ever imagined the tower was going to collapse
:nono:
It's sad to see it go but its glory days are gone.
I remember in the 80s when the following week's charts were largely decided by what bands were on TOTP.
If you were on, it was almost certain you'd go up the charts the following week.
There were a few basic rules as I recall:
You couldn't...
The same thought crossed my mind. That would have been pure class.
Must have been tempted.
Either that or kick over the table with the World Cup on it while walking off the pitch.
Italians are a nation of gloryhunters. They fail to sell out any international match and took about 1,500 fans to Portugal for Euro 2004.
Their fairly large support in Germany is due to the many Italian immigrants (many now 2nd generation) who are happy to shout "Forza Italia" - unlike anyone...
I look forward to some decent away trips in the CL next season and to the home match in the last 16.
Well worth the effort the lads last Tuesday.
Milano Siamo NOI, Solo NOI
Linesman's fault. Shevcunto should have been off
Supposedly it was Moratti who wanted Mancini. Tronchetti wanted Capello and Facchetti wanted to keep Zaccheroni.
Hard to say what will happen now but, as you say, Mancini has fallen out with quite a few players.
Personally, I think he will stay.
Remember too that even if we get a one season...
I actually met Moratti at Porto airport on the way back from the Porto-Inter game. I had a brief chat with him and he came across as a very knowledgeable bloke but, maybe, too much of a fan.
The other night most people would like to have seen Martins on from the start.
Shevchunto's...
Other major shareholder Marco Tronchetti Provera (Pirelli/Telecom Italia) would be ready to take over I'm sure.
Moratti has made mistakes but he's also been unlucky. I think he might decide to step down once and for all at the end of this season.
Should be interesting to see what, if...
Milan always have the ref in their pocket just in case.
Shevcunto should obviously have walked after two mins. End of.
The flare throwing was the last straw. It was unfortunate that Dida got hit but he should have moved away.
I saw an interview with Dida on Italian TV yesterday and he was...
I gave my dad a DVD of the first series for Christmas last year. He was always on about watching it at the cinema but could barely watch the DVD as he thought it was so bad.
I remember watching it during school holidays in the 70s, normally before an Elvis movie ???
Hotel is the Gatwick Airport Travelodge I believe.
The flight's at 0815 and we don't want to be wandering around Porto with a bloody sore head.
London has been ruled out as we can't trust ourselves to be sensible. Brighton might fit our needs if there's a last train at about 2330.
Cheers for that. If we go for the Crawley option we'll let you know how we got on. We had found one place on the Internet called the Charcoal Burner. Do you know it?
When's the last train from Brighton to Crawley? We've already arranged our hotel at Gatwick airport.
yeah but will we make our plane the next day?
What's the train/bus service between Crawley/Gatwick and Brighton like?
Suggestions for places in Brighton also welcome but we can't rule out Crawley quite yet so if anyone wants to defend Crawley........
I'm an occasional poster on this Board, mainly because I'm a mate of Jambo Seagull who has a fair number of posts I believe.
Anyway, two weeks today (22 Feb 2005), I'll be in Crawley with five other Inter Milan fans on our way to the CL tie against Porto away.
We're flying out of Gatwick early...
