Another massive thumbs up for the new Stereolab album. First in 15 years and thankfully their sound has not changed. Live dates in England in December. Corn Exchange 5th.
For those unfamiliar with Stereolab, from the past, I give you this.
On the train travelling back from Wet Leg at Brixton. They are playing a second night tomorrow. Really hope they sort the sound out. Vocals too quiet and overall pretty distorted. Shame.
Two of our group have managed 100% home and away attendance this season. We are doing our own guard of honour at some point on route to Spurs. They have been warned.
After the excitement of The Great Escape it’s back to normal gigging for me. Wet Leg tomorrow, sadly not at The Green Door Store. Later into June The Osees and Gary Numan. Both in Brighton. Then more Nick Cave, this time in Paris. Oh and dipping into bits of Glastonwick too.
When I compare it to the most recent fans zone I’ve been to which was at Wolves it is fantastic. Wolves was a disused car park hosting a couple of catering vans, a giant dart board which fans were invited to kick a ball at and a handful of Portable toilets. This was all in the open. I think The...
I’m really struggling with The Terrace as a concept on non match days. There are plenty of live music venues in the centre of Brighton and many pubs that are finding times hard. They do not need competition from a football club attempting to make profit on non match days by hosting non football...
Were you there when they played Mutations? That was the first time I was aware of them. Really good band and how the lead singer does that chicken head thing is absolute class.
I did think it was strange not bumping into you at some point but can see from your list I was mainly elsewhere. I did in fact walk past you along by the Steine but you were chatting in a group, The Enemy were 1-0 up at this point and I was rushing into Revenge to watch Rabbit Foot. An...
Unfortunately there was no room in the inn when I arrived so made my way to Horratios for punk band Soapbox who were, if you like a bit of angry delivery, excellent. They are playing later today at Daltons. If you go decide to go and moshing is beyond you then avoid the front. The lead singer...
Damn and blast. I got that alert for the £65 tickets and assumed that they were for this years festival and they were on sale as they wanted to off load the last few.
