Any financial experts on here ?
I've got a reasonable sized pension pot, and I'm now old enough to take out the 25% bit tax free. Is it best to do that now, or wait as long as possible, so the pot can continue to grow for a few more years ?
Interesting article in The Spectator about how the civil liberties of football fans are routinely denied. Thoughts ?

Anyone else see it last night on BBC4 ?
I know a lot of people don't like DB, but I've always found him to be a very amusing bloke. Original and quirky, and his genuine understanding of what it means to be a fan shines through all the time.
If you want to stay young and beautiful, excellent advice right here !

First saw Steve back in mid-70's when he was a very big star, but he disappeared quickly....then caught up with him in the last 80's/early 90's and saw some great shows. He'd certainly mellowed a bit after 10+ years in obscurity.
Always felt that he's been a bit...
Very interesting piece in today's Telegraph, about how up to 1000 English fans travel over to Dortmund games. Amazing - I wonder what would happen if a major club here recreated the Dortmund model ...

Germany, Austria and Italy are standing together in the middle of a pub when
Serbia bumps into Austria and spills Austria's pint. Austria demands Serbia buy

I remember just a few weeks after Hillsborough, Liverpool lost to Arsenal in that epic title-decider game, and it seems to me that they've never been quite the same power since.
Will they ever get back to their former greatness, I wonder ?
Or is the weight of the Hillsborough tragedy going to...
I had no idea that the population of Uruguay is only 3.3 million, yet just look at how many top quality players they have produced. Amazingly, they've won the Copa America more often than any other country.
How do they do it ?
Every time I hear the latest twist in the never-ending financial crisis, I think of this little overlooked gem from The Divine Comedy. Interesting artist, Neil Hannon....he often reminds me of Scott Walker, but here he sounds like a modern-day version of Flanders And Swann. Enjoy ...
One of the things I really like about NSC is the way that people discuss all sorts of non-football matters in a really supportive way, so I'm wondering who out there can give me a bit of advice.
Briefly, my story : was married for over 20 years, until I discovered that my wife had been...
Then cheer yourself up - watch this clip, one of the funniest, most uplifting things I've seen in ages ! It's a flash mob event in a shopping mall, when they all break out into the Hallelujah Chorus - brilliant !!
