My sister acquired a Peter Ward shirt (with his name on the label) back in the late 70s and she wore it as a night sleeper a few times. Much later it was donated to the BHA museum. I really wanted that shirt but she wouldn't let me have it. I would have treated it with far more respect. :bowdown:
A poor performance all round today. We are still making chances though but such weak shots almost straight at the keeper. We had 8 shots on target and not one looked like beating the keeper.
Feeling a little low right now after that defeat. We just struggled really but with just a few good periods of play. It doesn't help with a lot of the squad not fit to play 2 games in a week with players just coming back from injury. Just have to say that the arse were better (spit). They were...
With our injury hit squad this was a pretty good performance considering. Hopefully no new injuries but Baleba looked like he was struggling the last few minutes. Need to win against Brentford next game to continue our move towards the Euro spots.
That's also what I think. Any higher up the leg and it would have been a red. WBG's one was higher up as was the donkey from ManU the same day. One was a red and one wasn't.
I hope the lads who were hurt today manage to get to the game tonight and to all our guys & girls out in Rome today stay safe. When going away in Europe its a choice of staying with a large crowd and sticking together or just hanging with a couple of mates - both could bring unwanted problems.
Why are we still trying to walk the ball into the net. No pace up front to frighten the opposition and slow, slow build-up so that the opposition team can get back into shape. I know we are not a counter-attacking team but still . . . its like trying to thread a rope into the eye of a needle. So...
