[Palace] In the greatest season in their history

It’s a funny thing, as a man of vintage, I would have taken relegation to win the FA cup, having seen palace in 3 divisions it didn’t make me support them less. But to win the FA cup or even the League cup was a dream. Whether we are 12 or 8th would be forgotten by next season but when I go and...

[News] Old fashioned words you use

Being in the vacuum industry I use Flange everyday. But I always say Wireless, as a joke to start with but now all the time 🤷 And I use “under-drawers”I heard it in a period drama and thought it’s a nicer word than all the modern ones for pants and knickers. I have always used “ in the midst”...

[Politics] Small boats, smashing the criminal gangs and the UK job market

These are human beings looking for a better life. Put yourself in their position, you have nothing your wife and kids have no future, you just hope that by moving 1000s of miles away and getting exploited by gangs you may just have a chance to make your life a bit better.

[Politics] Small boats, smashing the criminal gangs and the UK job market

More unattractive than the country’s they left ? War, famine dictatorships and being dirt poor ? Not sure your solution would stop them TBH. What we have now in the west is the chickens coming home to roost I am afraid, 100s of years of empires taking all they could from Africa, depending on...

[Politics] Small boats, smashing the criminal gangs and the UK job market

A bit late to this, but for all the blaming governments for the arrivals, what is their solution ?? These are human beings whose lifes are so desperately sad they are prepared to leave everything they know travel 1000s of miles then cross the inky Black Sea at the dead of night in an...

    [Football] Are we the baddies?

My Saturday night viewing that website, love looking at all the attendance and goal scorers. I am what they call a legacy fan as I would and have watched and attended palace in 3 divisions, it doesn’t need to be the top division I would go anyway, but in the last 7 or 8 years a few of us have...

    [Albion] Premier League 16/04/25

Palace get a good old fashioned beating, which is fair enough. But can we now say XG is absolutely bollocks. Newcastle XG 1.39 palace XG 2.0…so how does that measure with a 5.0 thrashing ??

    [Brighton] Grace ***May Contain Spoilers***

Madam Blanc is surly meant to be am dram and tongue in cheek, I think the cast is pretty good , Robin Askwith and Sue Holderness play their characters brilliantly….i like it for what it is. That was the best Grace last night for a long while.
