The Irishman - Tortuous. I'm not a film buff and always thought that winning an oscar kind of guaranteed it was going to be a great film so I started a plan to watch them all from 1970 onwards (Midnight Cowboy is absolutely my favourite film so I thought I'd start after that). Managed Patton and...
Yeah, I'd challenge your use of the word 'soared' but take your point. I also understand the possible side effect of shrinking the rental market BUT if it gets rid of amateur landlords, I'd support it. If you look after your tenants, aren't constantly looking to increase rent etc then the...
A genuine question but it this actually true? I can think of a few additional expenses like paying for an EICR or Gas certificate, installing smoke alarms etc but these are not significant expenses.
Yes. I hate nationalism in all it's forms, be it British Nationalism, English, Welsh, German. I hate it for many reasons but one of its 'goals', preserving a monoculture within that particular entity - That's not how we evolved it's not how the world developed, we're all immigrants and all mongrels.
This is what happens though isn't it, pundits/fans see an incident, cry merry hell but don't actually know the laws. The whole goalkeeper being 'in control' thing is quite nebulous and, of course, this week we're saying that play should be allowed to continue. Refs can't win can they.
I will...
I did a piece on Countryfile a couple of weeks ago and I've met myself, does that count?
More pertinently, I spent the day with Sean Fletcher and John (the big dog, JC) Craven, a couple of the nicest humans you could ever wish to meet.
Yep, probably not a lot and if anyone hasn't been to one of India's big cities, you may not understand quite what an intense experience it can be. She'll be the better for it in the long run.
Awesome! - I've got a few old Macs now I've moved back to windows, in particular one from about 2020 that was just a dog, absolute garbage performance, it's now running with an RPi desktop and it's magic :-)

a) they're definitely foxes in the left hand picture!
b) that's not drainage, it's a hole.
c) Which landscaper wants to put their name to that...
I hate VAR and I love Wazza BUT, this is the problem with how we see incidents like that - We have a gut reaction and stick with it. The VAR gods explain the decision, we don't like it so we say just get rid of it. Also, each of the pundits kept repeating the 'possible goal-scoring opportunity'...
Good ID skills for a beginner, nice one - I'm generally terrible, despite having volunteered for RSPB for nearly 4 years and spending all that time with expert wardens!
I don't disagree - I just sometimes wish we focussed a little bit on the history of WWII, why it happened, how Hitler came to be so powerful, that's a lesson we don't seem to teach, or learn.
