    Darren Sheldrake.. Remember him?

Hard to say, it appears he blew the whistle for offside without consulting the linesman, then went to consult him after the ball had gone in! Then gave the goal after the consultation, despite having previously blown his whistle!?

    Darren Sheldrake.. Remember him?

Seemingly he persuaded the ref that the goal shouldnt stand because he had blown his whistle before the ball hit the back of the net.

    Darren Sheldrake.. Remember him?

By all accounts the game restarted after the ref realised his mistake and awarded the goal (including our manager in the interview, who said we just have to get on with it). I hope Sky Sports have some decent footage tonight!

    Darren Sheldrake.. Remember him?

Found this thread googling "Darren Sheldrake" online for reasons that will become clear below...... Some of you may have noticed today that Sky Sports had us (Colchester United) leading 1-0 for at least 10 minutes against Charlton, before the score became 1-0 to Charlton. Well....... Our...

    New winger is......Simon hackney

Been perusing your board for a few days trying to work out whether the game will be on Saturday. Hackney hasnt played much for us through a combination of injury, the fact that we have quite a few players in his position and him not exactly being a wonderful player. Hes not bad, easily a league...

    Colchester Uniteds most famous supporter.....

Alastair Cook claims to be a Colchester supporter - his mum used to be my chemistry teacher! And Steve Lamacq is a die hard supporter, never ever heard of Ali Carter being a fan nor seen him at a match.

Possibility of getting someone in tomorrow?

You didnt play well. If Adams says that then get rid! As my dad said, it was two very poor teams yesterday....Last season we had Geraint Williams constantly claiming that we had played well after getting beaten by better teams, denial springs to mind.

Possibility of getting someone in tomorrow?

Whatever the obvious problems with the Withdean, the stewards more than make up for it - my brother did manage to get into the ground in the end. Have never known stewards that actually went out of their way to ensure that people had a good time and drew a positive experience from their visit -...

    Brighton v Colchester attendence

Went in there last night, if you think it was a deathtrap then......going down there now to get some photos, we discovered that one of the old turnstiles is just open. It is sad really, the council screwed up on selling the land so I can see it just sitting there rotting for a good few years to...

Possibility of getting someone in tomorrow?

My brother appeared yesterday from Holland where he lives, having only found out then that he could get off work until Saturday - obviously didnt have time to get hold of an away ticket as we didnt know that he would be around on Boxing Day. Do you sell home tickets on the day? If you do, are...

    Brighton v Colchester attendence

Yeah I reckon so. I knew your away end was roughly the same size as our away end at Layer Road, just under a thousand. At the end of the day Brighton is a popular away day, a lot of people would make the effort in summer, when there isnt so much risk of having to hunch under a rain poncho for...

    Brighton v Colchester attendence

Around 5 thousand. Its shit for a combination of reasons; No trains - who the hell wants to stay sober on Boxing Day Shit couple of seasons - we have won 5 home games since april 2007. Away we havent been too bad, but a lot of people will have paid their season ticket money up front and then...

    Parking, pubs etc on Friday

Are you seriously suggesting we go to a pub because it is desperate for customers? Not a huge recommendation!

    Brighton v Colchester attendence

But it really isnt a big game for us YET. You are on what can only be described as dreadful form, whereas we are gradually creeping up the table, have improved greatly since George Williams left, are decent away from home and our 'star' striker has just come back from long-term injury. All signs...

    Parking, pubs etc on Friday

Is it true that we will now be able to park in the streets around the ground? Which roads are the best ones to look out for a space on? And if my dad arrives about two will he be best just getting the park and ride? Is the sportsman ok? Dont want to be queueing for an hour for a beer

    Brighton v Colchester attendence

Apparently we have only sold around 250-300 ticket, so wont be a sell out in the away end

Im hoping some will be able to help - coming down on boxing day and have to buy a ticket for me and my missus, would you be able to tell me the prices as i need to put the money aside now and not blow it before christmas? Do you do under 21 tickets for away fans as well? If you could give me...
