Pitch reseeded, but where did the old turf go?

Looking at the picture on the official site the pitch looks to be reseeded after the concert. Anybody know where the turf went, did it go to a good use?

Work at stadium with extra seats: photos?

The BHA official site seems to be showing just one photo per day of the building work and seats. Are any chums going along to cover the work with some pics? I remember Jack Straw and others putting up some great shots of the Amex construction and I really felt like I knew the stadium although...

Watching former Brighton players last Saturday

I took my son, on his 11th birthday to see Oxford v Bristol Rovers. The usual captain's appearance from Jake Wright for Oxford. No Andrew Whing for Oxford, not even on the bench so probably injured. Joe Anyinsah up front for Rovers, but he looked to be carrying a bit too much weight for my...

    David Walliams swimming the Thames

You may know that David is attempting to swim the length of the Thames in 8 days to raise money for Sport Relief; 140 miles with 44 locks. Yesterday he came through Culham (I live in Culham behind the lock) after leaving Abingdon on the start of Day 3. I took this shot of him as he made an...

NSC Moderators, why don't you stop swearing on this site?

I see on a thread 'Hillsborough Petition' that within a couple of posts the four letter swearing and abuse starts. Surely you must realise that some people, (maybe all), do not want to read this and that there are young children that are interested in and follow the Albion and look at this site...

Oxford match tomorrow night with former Albion players

I'm going to the Oxford home game against Shrewsbury tomorrow night. I take my ten year old four or five times a year. Good to see a couple of former Albion players in the team. Jake Wright is now the Oxford captain and Andrew Whing at full back. I think they would have sorted out the 'STFC'...

Just spotted, 'PO YET' car number plate

I spotted this plate PO YET or it might have been PO1 YET on the M40 south around Junction 11 as it turned off. It looked a new, white mini saloon with unusual black stripes over the roof and boot (couldn't see the bonnet). Is this Gus's car or a family member's car? Anyone know?

Has anyone actually kicked a ball on the new pitch?

Just wondering if anyone from the club or construction team has kicked a ball on the pitch. Surely the temptation would be too much and you would want to score the first unofficial goal...Peter Ward style!

Cheltenham away, the hamburger stand and Julian Alsop

Some years ago at Cheltenham away we lost 3-1. The highlight of the game for me was the hamburger stand going up in flames (this was when it was terracing at the away end. A certain Julian Alsop scored one with his head for Cheltenham. I'm sure you lot will remember that, Micky Adam's changed...

    The Goldstone goal posts

Am I right that the goal posts last used at the Goldstone (if they are still intact after the Doncaster game), will be used at the new Amex Stadium? Or is this a misty eyed vision!

Tranmere, I'm afraid I told you so

Quote from my Friday post: ''It is time for the Albion to decide where their season lies, top half and pushing on or a relegation struggle. I am very wary of Tranmere tomorrow, despite their lowly position and managerial problems, they are due for a win. I think this is going to be a tough game...

    Pivotal game against Tranmere

It is my belief that the game tomorrow is a pivotal game for the following reasons: 1. A win could lift Albion into the top half of the table and provide the platform for a run towards a playoff position. 2. It will give the boys the rare 'back to back' win. 3. If undefeated it would give the...

    Seagulls giant flag?

Sorry, I know this has been discussed a lot in the past but was the flag ever found? If so, will it make an appearance at Orient? If it wasn't found is there a chance a new one will be made?

Leon Knight has been banned from playing football in this country until 2011!

Leon Knight has managed to work his way down and out of the Football League, the same with the Conference football and now out of the country: this is taken from Wikipedia: On 12 December 2008, Rushden & Diamonds confirmed that Knight had been sacked after continuous breachs of conduct between...
