Haye vs Bellew: Real hatred or the new Big Daddy vs Giant Haystacks?

Bizarre press conference from Liverpool yesterday, catch the unedited version on You Tube, but these two really cranking up Saturday night's fight. All hype to sell more PPV? Or is this a good old fashioned real life grudge match? Haye could already be in hot water with the board of control...

    Champions League question

With Chelsea apparently romping away with the title much is being made of the battle for the top four, if United or Spurs win the Europa League, and don't finish in the top 4 does that mean that England gets 5 sides in the competition next season, or will the team finishing 4th end up missing out?

Most overrated restaurant you've eaten in?

Took Mrs H up to see Dreamgirls at the Savoy Theatre for her birthday and wanted to push the boat out beforehand so took her to The Ivy. For any NSCers thinking about it, don't bother, dstinctly average food but very expensive, thankfully the show was one of best West End productions I've ever...

    O/T Lawful Killing: Mark Duggan

Was aired last week and currently on BBC i player, whilst he was clearly no angel, shocking stuff and serious questions about the Met and the establishment as a whole, a frightening insight into 21st century Britain. If it was on Sky Movies you'd say it was too far fetched a plot to have...

Women's Pro Boxing on Sky. A step too far?

Eddie Hearn salivating on Sky Sports news about pro debut of Katie Taylor. I don't consider myself sexist but I won't be watching, I didn't watch the female bouts in the Olympics, and this just doesn't sit right with me. Am I in the minority amongst the NSCers who enjoy watching the noble art?

    O/T Guy Ritchie's Rockenrolla

Watched it for the first time in a few years, maybe it's an age thing now but I actually think it's equally as good as both Lock Stock or Snatch. The promised sequel from the end credits never materialised for various reasons but it's definitely worth a watch IMHO.

    Thank you REMF

Very kindly donated £3,500 to young Oli Pink, from Worthing, towards his £7,000 target for a new custom built football wheelchair. Spoke to Oli's Mum last night and he's only £700 short of his target now. Huge thanks to Mike, Gareth and everyone else at REMF. Harty

1901 "We're hoping to base it on the Arsenal model'

Martin Perry's words to me in early 2011 when making a short film for Seagulls World. Judging by last nights latest debacle the intention has changed, it's now a fusion of the Chuckle Brothers and Laurel and Hardy 🙈

Is John Major really the ultimate architect of our Olympic success?

As the debate rages on, clearly lottery funding is a huge factor but I've heard on at least two media outlets that it was John Major that kicked it all off in the wake of the 1996 debacle in effectively the last 9 months of his tenure at Number 10. Great if this is the case, but unfortunately...

Joe Joyce robbed in the boxing?

Split decision defeat against France's Tony Yoka, but Antony Joshua says he's morally the Olympic champion. Can't take the shine off our greatest ever Olympics but the lad must be gutted.

Kerry Mayo Testimonial match, legends game.

Does anyone have the line-ups for the legends game prior to the main match? Clearing my daughters cupboard out and I've found a signed shirt can decipher Gordon Smith, Jimmy Case and the obvious ones but struggling with a few. One I did spot straight away was Andy Heryet aka Ferret :bowdown...

20 years on from the Atlanta games, what's changed?

Our medal total that year was 1 gold, 8 silvers and 6 bronze. 20 years on Team GB are light years away. Is the vast improvement down to lottery funding, a golden generation across a number of sports or the fact that a number of countries are having the same lull we did in 1996?
