Yesterday the freezing conditions had more or less cleared the North Stand concourse by about 17.30 even though it was due to remain open until 20.00. It was like a fridge in there, only colder. It just made people either go home or seek warmth in the East Stand Brasserie. Sort of defeats the...
It says on the club site that "Dick's Bar and the East Central Brasserie will be open until 10pm". Anybody know if its open to all, including ruffians who don't fancy freezing their nuts off in the North Stand concourse or standing in the obligatory queue for Dick's Bar? Cheers.
Has anybody come across this latest piece of bollocks from Facebook?
Last week my niece posted on there she was going to Florida for a month. She isn't. This morning my best mate's fiancee posts she's going to New York for 14 months. Fair freaked out my mate when I asked him what that was all...
When you see an advert on the telly for Strepsils and it finishes with the cheery line 'Follow us on Facebook!' you just KNOW thats one social networking site that has run its course. Oh well.
Anybody seen an even rubbisher product to 'follow' on Facebook?
... about North Korean Mass Games. And a rare glimpse into the North Korean family mindset.
Beautiful and heartbreaking.
If you only watch one thing on BBC iPlayer this Christmas, I 100% recommend you watch this. Lasts an hour and a half. If you only have five minutes to spare, fast forward...
Sorry, can't find original thread, but big cheers to whoever it was posted the link for the free book to tie-in with the Hollywood remake of the 'Girl With The Dragon Tattoo'. Big fat 500+ page book dropped through letterbox this morning. That's Winter holiday reading taken care of. Thanks...
The Gods of Christmas they mock me! 365 days a year I visit that off-licence on average. On 364 of those days the bottom doesn't fall out of my carrier bag, drenching the once-a-year shoppers in festive foamy beer. Sake! :moo:
Sake! We looked twice the team as soon as he came on. Thought we'd finally moved beyond the days of brainlessly bringing on a game-changing player with two minutes to go. Apparently not.
Blimey, I think I've discovered the elusive Higgs-Boson particle. Minute traces of it were to be found in the Amex Xmas Pie, right there between the great slathers of stuffing base and the quarter pound of cranberry jam on top. It tastes a bit like turkey. :xmas:
Sake! They need to sort out the aircon in Dick's Bar. Bloody bits of grit flying into the corner of everybody's eye.
All I can say is that is the one of most fantastic group of people I've ever had the privilege of sitting amongst. Even if drink had not been taken,THPP would have...

Rarely got the attention span to follow anything much at all, but IMHO 'The Slap' is well worth the effort. Based on a book of the same name, its a superb drama comprising eight seperate tales all based around a really annoying kid getting a slap at an Oz barbie to celebrate one of the...
I don't like it, its too quiet...
Report from the North Stand following the roof's first serious workout: the swirly-wind-assisted rain reached completely in as far as Row N and dampened the knees of those in Row O. There were many unfortunates nearer the front who were so wet they looked...
