Have we worked this out yet ? or will it be down to Graham Potter to defeat Forest today and make it irrelevant anyway.
*Hears dark laugh, with accompanying teeth whistle, as Ferguson fires a victorious two goal comeback in the last five minutes*
It is what it is.
I think the problem is what should be nothing more than a minor irritant has, in some cases, become a quite disturbing outpouring of bitterness, almost grief. I'm genuinely concerned for folk who feel that way because it's a kind of voluntary submission to those emotions. One friend's posts were...
This is bordering on obsession now. I don't think Crystal Palace supporters care half as much about us as some do them. The whole rivalry thing, any rivalry, when beyond pantomime is based in need for personal validation. In other words, needy.
Crystal Palace won the FA Cup. Folk just need to...
My original thinking was that any team who won a European competition gets a place in the next league up the following season and an extra seasonal place cannot be awarded to another club because of their victory. Thus we have 8 places (5+2+1) and any other places won by teams who haven't...
So I think I have worked it out:
To qualify we need:
Chelsea to win the Conference League and to lose to Nottingham Forest
Aston Villa to gain a point/win at Old Trafford
City to win one of their two remaining matches or at least gain a point without shipping -4 goals + whatever Chelsea lose...
I have been there and also had the joy of playing cricket at Hartfield. It's such a lovely area of the county. And heathland, it's wonderful to see heathland.
I suppose I'm lucky as I'm not from Brighton as a birthplace definition. Applying various considerations I could be from Surrey or Hampshire. And my first proper home in Sussex was just outside Horsham. All very interchangeable and 'delete as appropriate'
That was my thought, although looking at ESPN they seem to disagree and think that a Conference place would go to 8th.
That said, this would require a lot of combos to drop our way. I think I'll just call time on the season's hopes now and leave things there :ROFLMAO:
That is possible with a number of equations. Even plausible if Forest can beat West Ham and Chelsea.
My reading is that if they have already qualified for the Europa League via a European victory no extra place is awarded. It's the case for the Champions League. Perhaps someone else can confirm.
