[Albion] The Terrace Opening this Saturday

    That's a bit long.

    [Albion] Fab's pre-Villa presser

I think we'll see Gomez step up over the next couple months - he's got quality.

[News] Area of Iceland being torn apart by volcanic activity

I mean, if you will choose to live on a giant volcanic rock... (visited Iceland and it is brilliant and I recommend it to anyone, especially in winter time).

    [Albion] Fab's pre-Villa presser

Any noises on how long out for Rutter? If he's out for a significant number of weeks that could be a big issue IMO. Game changer, that lad.

    [Albion] Fab's pre-Villa presser

Yeah but he's doing the 5:2 diet.

    [Albion] Premier League 1-3/4/25

Anyone else STILL hypothetically add on the extra 4 points dropped from the Leicester and Wolves home games when they look at the table? In both games we were 2-0 up - at HOME - with 5 (FIVE) minutes of normal time to go. So painful.

    [Albion] Premier League 1-3/4/25

I'd argue Rashford has been playing well for a few weeks now - not just that he's scored (two) in the most recent game.

[Football] De Zerbi offers to resign as Marseilles coach

Very talented manager but way too stubborn and principled, and throws his weight around/speaks like he's already achieved a lot more than he has. There's clearly a reason he never lasts at a club more than about 18 months usually. Sounds like a certain Uruguayan we might remember as well...

    A TAD naive, perhaps.

[Albion] When it went to penalties...

Absolutely - to get a psychological advantage as much as anything. If I'm absolutely knackered and know that I'm likely to be taking a penalty in a few moments, and saw the other team bringing on a "penalty specialist" keeper, that would 100% get in my head.

[Albion] When it went to penalties...

No confidence at all, due to Bart’s Shilton-esq penalty record. Saved 1 in 27 I believe it is now. Still annoyed we didn’t bring Steele on for pens against Man Utd in the 2023 semi.

    [Politics] Donald Trump, US President

It would be oddly fitting for the man who has always been all about television.

    [Politics] Donald Trump, US President

Agreed. Feels like something genuinely quite embarrassing could happen in 2029 - like an OJ style car chase sequence. Genuinely.

    [Albion] Stand or Fall

This was in danger of becoming the new FA Cup Final money.

    [Albion] Premier League 1-3/4/25

I know it's a broken record one but MAD that the vast majority of these games can't be watched on telly within the UK. It's not even a 3pm blackout issue, they just aren't being shown.

[Football] The Non-League Football Thread- 2024/25 Edition

Would it be reasonable to expect Worthing's bank holiday fixture (and last home game of the season) against Dorking on 21st April to sell out?

    [Brighton] Was it a penalty?

This is exactly why intent IS key IMO. Players fall over all the time, things happen, particularly in the box with loads of bodies and limbs around. The vast majority of the time, it isn't a foul. Mitoma is just trying to stop the ball coming across, he isn't attempting to stop the player...

    [Brighton] Was it a penalty?

As others have said, it should've been moot as there was one of the clearest dives I have ever seen about 5 seconds prior. But no, Mitoma's wasn't even close to a pen - no negative intent from Mitoma whatsoever, was clearly sliding to block the ball and the player managed to get himself tangled...

[Albion] Who would you like the 4 semi-finalists to be?

Couldn’t agree more. Drama and high stakes is what we want from football. Doesn’t get much bigger than Brighton Palace at Wembley for both sets of fans.
