First TV must-see of 2019 shirley?
And worthy of a thread in it's own right as a drama event, rather than as part of the eternal churn of the main Brexit thread. Even just for one day.
Caught this small, quiet, very moving documentary on Raymond Briggs last night. He's 84 now, still nestling deep in the Downs. For anyone who may have missed it due to festive festivities, it's available on BBC iPlayer until the end of January. Highly recommended...
In terms of in-yer-face aggression and attacking intent, we've not seen his like since the dear departed Ashley Barnes. So why not throw (a bit of) caution to the wind and start him upfront with Murray? What's the worst that could happen?

Mr Shah is a Preston Park institution. He has run his shop (Motto: Never Knowingly Underpriced) in Preston Drove for forty years. If you've lived in that area at any point, he'll have formed part of the tapestry of your life. Many's the year his shop has stopped me from starving on Xmas day. But...
Total wankers.
Wouldn't happen at Withdean. Or Gillingham. Or The Goldstone.

It's what he would have wanted...
Hmm...
Seems like Spurs have been trying to do their stadium on the cheap and it's come back to bite them badly on the bum. Oh well.

Astounding stuff at the MCG!
Only half-way through the 2nd Quarter and Collingwood are pummelling Richmond 51-9 for a place in the Grand Final
Blimey! The Branch Tavern in London Road appears to be no more. It's been closed for a few weeks now, I assumed for public health reasons or similar. But no, went past this morning, awnings were going up and the finishing touches being applied to what looks like a complete makeover...
