Sidney Powell has resurfaced
Or rather she's fighting the defamation case that Dominion is bringing against her. Her defence is that when she said the election was fixed, she was clearly and obviously lying, as no-one reasonable would believe that claim...
Some more sad news
One of the great reggae artists, not just with the Wailers but as a solo artist too. He had a fine voice, a fantastic complement to Bob and Peter's rougher tones.
Did anyone see him at the festival in Stanmer Park about 25 years ago? He put on a great set.
Over the years we've had quite a few players sent off against Palace: Dunk this season (his second time against Palace), Duffy, Brooker in the 5-0 game. When was the last time Palace had a player sent off against us? I couldn't remember off the top of my head - surely they're due one?
The Fantasy League admins have just posted that 31 managers out there have Bernd Leno, David Luiz and Jan Bednarek in their teams.
There'll be some pain when they contemplate their scores this morning
Some sadness in Sussex; England's oldest test cricketer has died. He scored more than 17,000 runs for Sussex and took some useful wickets too.
He was before my time but my dad eulogised him, saying what a fine player he was.
Interestingly, the oldest test cricketer now is also a Sussex...
One classy player for City and England
A key member of their side that won the League and the Cup and, by all accounts, a decent bloke too
There'll be tears in the Bell End tonight
There's a cracking game brewing in Adelaide: India have struggled to 207-6 in 84 overs and the ball is hooping around.
But India have Bumrah and he'll relish bowling on this - particularly against a makeshift opening pair.
It's a relief to see some decent cricket on TV
I see that Jofra has been rested for the forthcoming Sri Lanka tour but Ollie has been named as one of the travelling reserves. I'd imagine there's a reasonable chance he'd get to play. Archer and Stokes will be back for the India series,
And talking of test teams, anyone see the story in...
Mrs Gwylan's Chromebook and son's iPhone won't connect to the wifi. When I look into it, the connection is OK but there's a DNS error, I can't reach the gateway.
I've had this problem on Windows before and I know how to fix it but I'm completely stuck with ChromeOS and iOS. I've tried...
Lightning quick French winger has died suddenly, only 48
I only saw him play live once but he was one of those players you couldn't take your eyes off. He scored a great try in the semi-final of the WC against New Zealand (and it was his run that set up France's first try too).
A sad day for...
James Kirtley and Ian Salisbury are the joint new Sussex coaches. My guess is that they still need a batting coach but it's good to see some Sussex stalwarts in the role.
I did my Level 2 coaching certificate alongside James - he's a thoroughly nice bloke and an excellent coach.
Fignon's...
What a match Exeter and Racing gave us. I can't remember being so gripped in game where I was a neutral. Exeter probably deserved the win but both teams provided some top class rugby.
Sporting highlight of the weekend so far (until Albion beat Palace)
Why are most of the ads that I'm getting on NSC this past week in French? I'm not based in France and haven't been looking at any French sites lately.
Is it because of the links about Dia that have been posted? Does that mean we're going to get loads of ads in Polish later in the week, thanks...
Does anyone know when the club stops taking direct debits for season tickets? I thought last month was meant to be the last payment but I see that the direct debit has come out of my account today.
That's seven months of payments now and it looks unlikely that we're going to see any games...
Sussex have released Harry Finch and Luke Wells.
Can't say that either is a surprise given that Wells couldn't get into any team this year and Finch has had multiple chances. I'm sure Wells will find another county - he was top scorer in English cricket just three years ago, he needs a fresh...
Six or seven cop cars, armed police on the street corner, an ambulance and several dogs. They've either cornered an armed robber/terrorist or found the Cup Final money
Has there been some new legislation brought in on betting sites? I'm not a big gambler but I have the odd punt now and then, generally around the start of the season.
But when I try to get on any betting site I get a "This site can't be reached" message. There's nothing wrong with my connection...
Sussex have a friendly with Hampshire and have named one of their weakest batting line-ups since the dark days.
No Archer, Salt and Evans (away with England). No SVZ and Wiese (stuck in SA) No Wright (no red ball cricket these days) No Jordan (op)
We have Garton at 7 and Ollie R at 8. And...
Starting 1 August - five four-day games in a regional league. That will mean for us Essex, Surrey, Hants, Middlesex and Kent, I expect.
It will culminate in a five-day final in Sep.
There'll be a T20 tourney throughout Sep too - 10 regional games
They're working on ways to accommodate spectators
... they not only lost 4-1 but had two players sent off, one of them for continuing to argue after being booked.
Not only that, the play was stopped for a few minutes as someone in the crowd threw a flare on the pitch. But there was no crowd ....
You'd never guess who was managing them, would you?
