The next round of PL games starts this evening and so far - no thread, with fixtures, kick-off times, broadcasters and current league table all neatly documented in one place. Frankly, for me this is part of my essential pre-match build up, enabling me to quietly ponder all possible permutations...
Just did a little bit of researching to see if FIFA have announced the kick off times for the World Cup this time next year, and see that the following has been proposed:
Group matches: 10am, 1pm, 4pm and 7pm.
Knockout matches: 3pm and 7pm.
This means the 7pm (local time) games will kick off...

I'm not necessarily a fan of him or his party but just let him speak FFS. Shouting from the back is a coward's tactic.
Yes - I know this will be in the Bear Pit by sundown.
Short ban after ‘totting up’ a number of minor infractions. Last minor infraction awarded for posting misleading image of empty supermarket shelves in the panic buying thread.
Despite of carrying on pretty much as have done over the last year or so, I have yet to be pinged and only know of one person that has. Yet when I listen to the news it seems like half the populations' phones are lighting up like Christmas trees? ???
I don't especially relish the idea of 10...
I know this is the subject of a 'sticky' at the top of the page but I also know that once stickies have been there for a certain period we all tend to skip past them, so I thought this was worth re-posting on the main board. (I can merge the two threads in time). Even if you have read Jeremy's...
I know that there are plenty of people on here who are pretty adept at analysing games, understanding shapes, formations and tactics. I try to - but typically just end up getting lost in the ebb and flow of the game whilst the more technical and tactical aspects alude me.
So what was it that...
Up until JG's introduction on 70 minutes, that match resembeld that feature from It's A Knockout! where 2 competitors dressed in oafish giant suits clumsily lumbered around a slippery podium trying to knock each other over whilst Stuart Hall (are we still allowed to mention him?) shrieked with...
Yes, England qualified for the R16 top of their group, undefeated and without conceding a goal. This is undoubtedly mission accomplished and a big tick in the box. In interviews the players have responded to a growing undercurrent of disquiet about the unambitious style and lack of chances and...
Now we've had a full round of Group games, what's the view on the multi-country format, as opposed to the traditional single host? (I'm sure there is a good reason for this format but I've forgotten what it is. Is it sharing the cost so no one nation was over-burdened?)
I quite like the idea of...
One of the things I always love about international tournamouts is the choice of strips from the different nations.
Early days so far, but for me the Italy away shirt (that bizaarly they wore at home vs. Turkey...?) is my current standout favourite.
(Gratifyingly, the England one isn't too...
Reach the Round of 16?
Group winners?
Quarter finalists?
Semi finalists?
Finalists?
And if we fail to achieve the minimum expectation, will Southgate go or is he secure in the job for the next WC regardless?
