It's a strange feeling, isn't it? The best way I can explain it is that if there was a Tiger in my garden attacking my wife, I would obviously do what I could to save her. But I'm pretty sure there would be questions popping into my head like "Is there actually anything you can do here?" and "Is...
It's hard going the first few years, especially with a close age gap if you have more than one. It starts to get easier around 3-4. Once your house doesn't stink of shit anymore and the kids actually start to interact with you properly. My two boys are 9 and 11 now and it's absolutely amazing...
No. I don't want us to qualify for a third rate European competition and end up finishing 12th next year because of it...
... so we can finish 5th next year and qualify for the Champions League and win the league cup.
You sound very confident we're not going down next year. I'd have thought that was a near certainty, judging by the general feeling on here after the Brentford game.
My Leeds mate was definitely a bit quieter yesterday than when they went up last time, when he was talking about European qualification the next season.
I am (kind of) one of these people. I want us to qualify for selfish reasons- it was absolutely amazing last time. But I think it might be better for us next season if we had one more season without it to blood this squad properly, and maybe do something really special.
I'm probably wrong...
Think we're going to win this one. Decent run to the end of the season incoming. Then we can switch from 'Sack the manager and tear up the model' to 'We're going to qualify for the Champions League next year' again.
"Some people". Not everyone. Your comments on why you remain unconvinced are perfectly fair and reasonable. But I have read numerous times about how his demeanour is somehow why he isn't getting the best out of the players, from people who have absolutely no knowledge of what he is actually like...
This is where I am at too. I think I we are in the overwhelming minority when it comes to the 'patience' part though.
But what's the alternative? Find another RDZ type who gets us an extra ten points next season and then fucks off to Chelsea at the first opportunity? What's the point?
100%. And maybe, just maybe, after a (first) full season in the Premier League and a full pre season, the chaotic element of the football might settle into something that we can all get behind, as a very young and up and coming Coach starts to find his feet and work out his squad and the league...
Went to two games today, Hassocks v Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill v Three Bridges.
Hassocks look a very, very good side and blew HH away. Could have been a lot more if it wasn’t for the keeper. Burgess Hill won easily as well but that game had a bit of a dead rubber feel to it.
Interested to...
Bang on IMO.
I don't think people realise what an absolute pain in the arse someone like RDZ would be to manager for Bloom / Barber. They must enjoy managing a character like FH so much more. Having everyone pulling in the same direction is a massive positive for our football club, despite some...
And yet I have been told time and time again on here that our fanbase is no different to any other. Just like how the moaning groaning Amex crowd is not a factor in our home performances.
OK. I’m sorry for using a mild swear word on a football forum, and for offending you.
Any chance you could reply to the last sentence though? I’m genuinely interested.
I’m sure it’s not just reactionary nonsense from you, and that you must have been consistently voicing this viewpoint and...
