We're well into off season now, and there's a lot of crap going on in the world, so after the success of the UK Comedy Cup in 24 (Blackadder beat Fawlty Towers by 194-114 in the final), I thought I'd bring a musical flavouring this time round.
Who do you think is the greatest British Band of...
I agree. That was a RIDICULOUS hit, you could just feel the confidence surging through him in that game as well - his finest for us, I believe. Absolutely ran the show and fully deserved a hat trick.
Ince's goal was really nice, I think I'd still have Skalak's some way ahead, personally. Perfectly timed, laser guided precision.
I also said it was the best goal I had seen in the flesh - i.e. I wasn't there for some of those.
Still, did feel like a particularly strong Europa League that year, when I've looked at the comparative standard of the sides in other years around it.
That felt VERY VERY telegraphed, and another reason I felt that series was the weakest.
Their narrative felt so obviously set up to pay off with them winning, that the wife and I called it about halfway through.
Nothing has ended yet, I said IF. But there are plenty of reports online that we are "allowing" him to leave. Everton and Celtic are the strongest rumours, some suggesting it's a done deal to Celtic.
Say Ferguson and Pedro leave (looking pretty likely) and Welbeck gets the odd injury. On that basis, I think we'd see a lot of game time for him, considering the cups and all, also.
A sad ending to such promise if he leaves this summer. I hope he is able to get himself right (whatever that might mean) and get back amongst the goals elsewhere. A talented lad, natural finisher when on top of his game.
I was lucky enough to go to India when I was 14, and it was a transformative and amazing experience.
I think someone summed up India well by stating; "Awful place, amazing people."
The rural parts are breathtaking and you can get away from the crowds - whilst I did visit Delhi and another busy...
I dunno - I couldn't stand the woman with the deaf husband that she basically bullied - yet I found it compulsive watching (especially when she lost in a photo finish........)
Yeah Canada series comfortably the least interesting, as the only real options were buses or hitchhiking, and they were all basically taking the same route, little variety of scenery as well. Canada looks beautiful but you want some differences throughout a series.
I'm a Beatles over Beach Boys fan 24/7/365, but I'm struggling to say there is a Beatles track that can live with GOK.
Maybe Here, There and Everywhere, in terms of songwriting genius. Maybe.
