I had to run home and change my shirt yesterday morning. Bloody birds. There's a definite difference between a seagull (Vermin. Aim between the eyes.) and a Seagull (God's favoured creature.)
They empty the bin bags all down the road before the binmen get to them, they can't sing or even chant...
Think of all the rebuilding contracts and the oil (Didn't someone say that there are some of the most extensive oil deposits on the planet in the Indian Ocean?).
We must show them that we care, to be in with a shout. Sounds like a good enough reason for three minutes' silence to me.

Peculiar book as a fave, IMHO. If we're getting esoteric, I'd plump for Voltaire's Candide. ...otherwise, as previously stated, it'd still have to be Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole.
