Hopefully the return of some of our most dangerous attacking players will give us the edge but I never exactly feel confident going into these types of fixtures - been burnt too many times.
To already have 3 PL goals to his name, as a teenager playing out of position, is scarily impressive really, and testament to how cleverly he times his runs at the back post.
A lot of it doesn’t make a huge amount of sense - I’m guessing if you’re actually in there, a certain amount of clarity of thought just goes out the window and you end up blinded to a whole lot.

We’re in a fortunate position where De Zerbi’s undoubtedly burgeoning reputation is based on style of play and potential, rather than having achieved anything of note with a club in a position to win trophies on the regular. You could of course argue that he’d have to manage one of these clubs...

Yep. I guess the answer to my question is technically “no-one” (Raya only left on loan this summer) which makes their transfer dealings all the more impressive to be this high up the list following two and a half mostly successful seasons in the Prem.
Struggling to recall who Brentford have sold of note since they came up? Guess it must mostly be sales from their Championship days (eg. Maupay to us and Benrahma to West Ham).
Struggle to look past Hazard and Coutinho in that 17/18 season - both absolutely instrumental in their respective sides taking us to the cleaners and I still get nightmares about the sight of Hazard picking the ball up and running towards a backpedaling Duffy.

Who remembers all the Palace fans who were fully supportive of Roy when he returned to replace Vieira, seemingly under the impression he’d suddenly learned how to play enterprising attacking football after a reasonably promising start?
