I detest Leeds and their fans but I thought Sunderland were so negative they got what they deserved. Surely their best bet was to stretch Leeds but they defended deeper and deeper with no one up front, eventually falling to goals from a free kick and a corner.

Probably. Why do they have to keep tinkering with the rules, like ball in the corner segment, pass back from kick off? Never really understood the reason for the 6 yard box (you only needed a line until the new rules on goal kicks came in).

I think I read somewhere that they only give foul throws if they are seeking to gain an advantage, unless it’s so obvious
