    [Misc] Thunderstorms kicking off.....................

If you do get caught in a lightning storm then please remember to lay flat on the ground, face down and cover your ears. You will feel all the hairs stand on end before a lightning strike so you get a second or two warning, but hit the deck like I said and you should be ok.

Thanks I was hoping someone would post this. Great goal. Biss and andone playing their part too. Andone run in and I was certain tau was going to try and pass to him but he thought"nah,I'll do it myself". Tau was looking good today,I agree,I am also hoping he gets a good run in the team...

    Congratulations Boris and Carrie

It's sad to hear Carrie was dealing with all that especially around the time of her wedding. Hopefully this new news means she can go someway to putting all that behind her and I wish her happiness for the future.

    [Football] Welbz is injured.

Yes an injury is never good but where welbeck is concerned it's maybe good to get it out the way early. Plenty of other strikers keen to impress and all capable of playing alongside eachother. Then welbeck gives us a boost for the second part of the season. What's interesting with our strikers...

    [Football] Welbz is injured.

Andone looks like he is constantly involved in an argument with himself and anyone that comes near is dragged into it too. I've been looking forward to him returning but there was some worrying signs today but hopefully he will settle down once he gets a goal or two.

    [TV] Next Dr Who?

I do like this lad when he is on the telly,he is a funny guy. But I wonder if he is capable of being the lead role. I see him more as a comedy sidekick at the moment. I would love to see him prove me wrong though. I heard an interesting story the other day that the lead role in peaky blinders...

[News] The year 2020 was the third warmest, fifth wettest and eight sunniest on record.

But could it though? As the crust and the atmosphere heats up,would that make conditions better for a large volcanic eruption?

[News] The year 2020 was the third warmest, fifth wettest and eight sunniest on record.

I wonder if we will see an increase in volcanic activity as the planet heats up. Krakatoa killed about 35,000 people when it went up but the ash and sulphur dioxide it through up into the upper atmosphere had a significant cooling effect on the planet.

    [Help] Plantar Faciitis

Funnily enough I was watching something the other day where a spiritual yoga guru was advocating walking barefoot outside for at least an hour a day, first thing in the morning ,every morning. I'm guessing he meant walking on grass or earth or sand barefoot rather than down West Street in the...

    [TV] Next Dr Who?

Steve coogan is a bloody good shout. He has never sprung to mind as the doctor but now you have mentioned him I can imagine him in the role and he would be perfect.

    [Cricket] Ben Stokes

He's done the right thing in terms of his mental health the same as Simone. In my experience it's best to get on top of mental problems early and recognise somethings not right and put your hand up. These things can easily snowball with a stiff upper lip,I'm fine,I can tough it out attitude,in...

[News] Could be a very big day for RNLI donations

But surely the royal navy must have more floating vessels in total. The royal marines must have 100 boats they can chip in with plus all the big ships must have lifeboats and maybe other boats too. I'm sure the public wouldn't be able to keep the navy afloat with donations from fundraisers. I'm...

[News] Could be a very big day for RNLI donations

Yes it's a good point about the RNLI being out of government control. But is the RNLI really a bigger flert than the ROYAL NAVY?

[News] Could be a very big day for RNLI donations

Yes,raising money for the lifeboats just seems to be one of things that's part of our culture now and nobody stops to think"hold on,they are quite important, shouldnt they have government funding". It always seemed to be a regular thing on blue Peter years ago with a target that needed to be...

    [News] Decorating is

I love polyfillering and painting but not wallpaper. I was lucky enough to work with an old school painter and decorator when I left school. Best painter and decorator I have ever seen. He gave me 2 great pieces of advice that I have never forgotten. 1.always start at the top and work down...

[Football] Heading in football: Professional players in England limited to 10 'higher force headers'

Yes,I think Stirling Moss made the point that modern F1 drivers drive more dangerously because they know they have more protection in a crash, and I'm sure the same was true of car drivers. The picture you posted is a modern bare Knuckle fight. Could it be that the modern bare Knuckle pugilists...
